Omg stop with the Kelly stuff. We can’t lose this game and we have no idea what Kelly can do. That’s is a dumb comment. Hoyer is a veteran who had won games in this league.

Only you would call “thinking you know more than Reich/Ballard” silly personal rhetoric.    Because you know it closes down some of the sillier posts that are made.   And you’d know this because you’ve made some of those silly posts.   You’re dismissive of anything you don’t agree with.

Everyone is entitled to your opinion.

Those are two separate things. Your personal rhetoric is your frequent drama filled put downs of other posters whom views you dismiss.

I'm more than happy to debate with facts/stats. When folks fall back on the same old "xxx" and anecdotal stuff in the face of facts/stats, I really don't need to be dismissive...

Do you ever stop and think Zach’s job was to block and he wasn’t part of the passing game plan to start the season.  Then when he had the game against Atlanta and TY went out he showed what he can do and since then they have made him the focal point of the offense. Get over it Denver has a great secondary. We weren’t going to do much in the passing game.

I'm not talking about plays that he stayed in to block. We're talking about passing route plays (for Pascal). Denver does have a good secondary, but there were plenty of guys open that weren't seen. It's that simple.

In the ATL game, on both of Pascal's catches...he was the first read...so of course JB saw him...because he was starting at him (and he was wide open).

Those were great play calls from Reich that took advantage of ATL's weaknesses...and great execution from JB and Pascal. But ATL's pass defense is atrocious...so it's not always going to be that easy.

On the TD to the right, pretty sure the shallow sideline was his first read. I give him props for seeing Pascal, but it was punch-you-in-nose obvious blown coverage. The 35 yarder I do think was the first read, but was also blown coverage. And yes, ATL was horrible.

Just IMO...but pump-faking to the shallow sideline was an intentional move to get the LB to bite and then throw it over his head to Pascal...who was the first read. It was a great playcall by Reich...and ran perfectly.

Did Marcus Johnson do anything today that justified waiving Cain for him???

The better question is did Cain do anything in 8 weeks to suggest that shouldn’t see what they have in Johnson?

Honestly, I been wondering the same thing.

However, the nut jobs come out in full force when the Colts lose.

Cain, who was considered partly a "deep specialist" (and also not great at possession type routes) in college, would have probably helped in today's Reich Air Raid game plan.

That was my point.  You got Hoyer out here spraying passes (& interceptions) all over the field...  Maybe you should have kept the big bodied receiver if you're gonna have Hoyer just throwing deep shots all game.  But Johnson caught 1 catch: which shamefully is probably just as many catches as Cain has had the last month...

Not yet

There's a little bit of noise connecting him to the Eagles...

I mean I didn't say that like it would be just the worst thing if they took him, but we need a deep threat right now, and we don't have any outside of Rodgers so......

To elaborate the Eagles comment from previous poster. A beat writer suggested the Eagles sign him, not that the Eagles are showing interest. The comment was misleading.

I wonder if the reasoning to waive Cain and being up Johnson was because hoyer had been throwing to Johnson in practice.

If it was, they need more practice.

Figured this would happen.  It's where he needs to be if he's not ready.

Same place where Fountain was for most of last year.  Hopefully he puts

it all together enough to get back on the regular roster.

Ho Hum.  That says a lot.

What says a lot to me is they waive him to activate Marcus Johnson. They had to feel he was not developed enough to contribute to their or another teams 53. Also seems to say they would not be too "upset" if they did lose him.

I mean this is different than something like having 2 safeties hurt and needing to add another to play the game. But they swapped him out for another WR that is at best a fringe player.

BTW... I am glad he is back on our PS . It wouldn't be crazy if he developed into a good 3# WR.

    • could we also get a punishing powers RB if there any this draft thats coming out
    • Improve the pass rush, and it's a lot easier on everyone in coverage.    I doubt they move Oke away from starting SAM, and you really don't want him playing in the middle on early downs. Willis is great in the box, but got exploited vs the pass (allowed 27 catches on 31 targets). Guessing you'll see him get the majority of snaps vs run heavy teams and early downs, and less vs pass happy teams and later downs.
    • Yes, but my point is the game was never in Brisett's hands to win the game. The run game and defense carried him, but unfortunately we are not the 49ers to be win consistently like that.
    • Aiyuk will likely go somewhere between 2nd and 4th based on the mocks I've seen. Not sure I would use that kind of draft pick on someone to be just a returner and gunner. I think he's got high upside, so would expect most teams to look at him as a WR2 or 3 at slot, or perhaps even a 1 at Z. If he improves vs the press and gets better at attacking the ball, he could be really really good. As a fan of Herm, I watched a decent amount of ASU, and the kid can play (if used properly)   At returner, I'm very happy with how Hines did at PR. Also liked what I saw from Dulin at KR (only a few opportunities). Pascal also had pretty good numbers at KR. Keep in mind we ended up #1 in the NFL in PR AVG, and #13 in KR AVG, so not really a huge need. The only thing I want to see change a bit is the willingness to return (instead of touch back or fair catch), and that's likely coaching, not player. I'm always happy to improve if we have someone on the roster that's better though, just not sure I'd draft a guy in an attempt to improve returns.
    • As far as a father goes from what I have seen he loved his daughters so he was an excellent loving father. That adds to his legacy. On my latest top 10 greatest players list he made it as I had: 1. Michael Jordan 2. Magic Johnson 3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 4. LeBron James 5. Wilt Chamberlain 6. Larry Bird 7. Shaq O'Neal 8. Kobe Bryant - I have him here, see below is to why 9. Bill Russell 10. Tim Duncan   -Kobe = 5 Championships in total, a League MVP in 2008 and really should have 2 as he got ripped off in 2006 when he didn't win it averaging 35.6 a game. He also won 2 Finals MVP's and won 2 Championships without Shaq in 2009 and 2010. His 2nd best player was Pau Gasol when he won the 2 without Shaq. Kobe was a global icon and loved around the world. When he passed away it was like Michael Jackson or Elvis passing away media wise. It has been insane today on the news, that is all anyone is talking about.
