TY Out Sunday could miss next 3 games

Recommended Posts

Our other receivers haven’t showed up yet this season. Josh Gordon is staring to seem like a viable option.

Frank just said it’s a 3-4 week injury. Really wished we traded for a receiver

Makes me wonder why Ballard didn't make a move this week? Holding cash and draft picks might just flush this year down the toilet.

This is what we get for not trading for a receiver. We have 4th and 5th string receivers at best starting now. Things just got A LOT tougher

Who'd you want to trade for that was actually available?

We need more two TE sets, maybe this will force us. Losing Ty changes the little dynamic play that we have on offense. Hopefully this isn't another Raiders game.

Oh boy.   This will hurt.   I had us going 3-1 over the next 4 games.   Now I say 2-2.

Steelers

Dolphins

Jags

Texans

The Mohammed Sanu trade messed it up for everyone, so Sanders went for a 3rd and 4th in exchange for a 5th. Sanders was the veteran presence that could have really helped us, IMO.

The key is if we win Sunday, also maybe he will be back at Texans as that is 4 games away.

Well good thing JB can’t throw (or wont) deep anyway.

Hopefully some of our guys step up and can get open on some short routes.

Doesn’t matter. We had no business doing nothing. Passing game has been meh. Two undefeated teams went out and bolstered their areas of weakness. Here we are depending on an undrafted player, a 6th round pick, a 2nd round pick who hasn’t stayed healthy. We may be in trouble

Odds on the Colts just went down.  This could cost us big.  There is essentially no depth at that position.

Although I suppose if Campbell is ready to play it's his chance to shine right now.

Time for JB to get out of his comfort zone and learn to throw it to other WRs.

@Superman can you send JB some of your screen shots please :-)

We should beat Dolphins without him but steelers is automatic L now in my opinion Jags and Texans are 50-50.

Im sure he had talks before the deadline.    Quite positive he did more than nothing.   He just isn't going to over pay.

I don't like our odds against either the Jags or the Texans without TY.

If we had Luck under center without TY I would say against the Texans it's 50/50

As it is I'd say it's 80/20 against.

Especially in Houston. We won’t get that lucky again with everything going our way.

We were losing to the Jags with Hilton. They are a souped up Broncos team, and we had to get lucky Vs them. The issue is the Texans, who it's going to be almost impossible to beat without Hilton. This injury is devastating, but for the Steelers and Texans games, not the Jags.

We just lost our best WR for 3-4 weeks.   I think a little doom and gloom is warranted.

Especially with Campbell back and Funchess returning soon.   Might have been different if he knew Hilton would be out.

I have us going from 3-1 to 2-2 in the next 4 games.

It's mostly big because all our games are close, so lacking Hilton could be the difference.

We can still win this game actually. Just play like we played against KC and run a lot. JB can't turn it over though. We will beat Miami too, season is far from over.

    • Edmund Sumner will play against the Pistons tomorrow. I wonder how he factors into the rotation.   Either he takes Aaron Holiday/TJ McConnells minutes, he remains out of the rotation, or they go back to a ten man rotation where they do small ball and play all 3 guards together at some points.
    • When we get Oladipo back, we will be tough to beat if he is old Oladipo. The Pacers have a solid roster.
    • We all know that Ballard has never gone after an elite WR in FA.  This year the only WR that would be considered elite is Cooper.  Today, here in Western NY, listening to a Bills radio show the reporters were talking Cooper up as a target for Josh Allen next year IF he hits FA.  The Bills have never been timid about spending in FA.  So if he hits FA he is going to get some big offers.  If he does hit FA he is the type of WR I could see Ballard finally going after and spending some of his cap.  He knows it's a big need and getting an elite young playmaker like Cooper might finally get Ballard to go all in and fill a big hole right away.
    • 1. The Celtics are not trading us Jaylen Brown for Myles Turner.   2. You just need to give up on the "breakout" season for Myles. He's not going to average 15 PPG in this system unless he is taking 9 3's a game like KAT is.    The other 4 players in the starting lineup are all averaging 17 PPG or more this season. There is only one ball. Myles Turner is not getting the touches and shots necessary to average 15.    Goga is a complete liability on defense right now. We should not be relying on him in any regard until he learns how to defend without fouling.       If Myles Turner played in this game, he would be contesting all these shots and making it a lot more difficult on Harden. Sabonis just cannot provide that defense and Goga can shot block, but he gives up too many fouls.    Myles never has high rebounding numbers because he constantly has to protect against other players on the team getting beat and meeting guys at the rim. The rest of the team is there to rebound the ball.     I'm not even thinking about trading Myles until/unless Goga improves to a place where he can be impactful while playing 20-25 minutes.
