He doesn’t “have to ball out.” He put up 280 yards in our win against the Chiefs. 201 yards when we blew out the Jaguars. And when he does get big numbers, he gets them because he’s a damn good quarterback. Not trying to take a shot at Brissett, but he isn’t as athletically gifted as Deshaun. I wouldn’t expect him to “ball out” with 370 pass yards in addition to 60 on the ground.
I don’t get your argument, though. Do you fault the Chiefs because they have an MVP? Or any other team that has a player who puts up big numbers and gets wins?
If TY comes back and injures himself but we win, I think we will be okay for the next 3 games - though I would love to have him against the Saints.
If we rest him against the Texans and lose, it would really screw up the division chances. I want the division more than the overall record...I think?
I hope he plays this Thursday and we win, AND he doesn't re-injure himself. Ultimately, like Supes says, it's up to the TY and the docs. I put money on TY being out there Thursday.
Definitely a strange year. Won games thought might lose, lost games thought might win. Could possibly be 9-1 just the same as 4-6. This defense is one that have been wanting for a long time and believe will only get better with age. Hoping Brissett will get better on read progressions and offense can get rid of the injury bug. Love seeing the Colts impose will on teams by successfully running the ball. Haven't had that in years. Who knows, a stout defense and good run game has produced championships before. Just need consistency
