Matt Nagy

Recommended Posts

So at one time the rumor and innuendo was that Matt Nagy didn’t want our job because he felt that Chicago was a much better situation for him.

Reckon he regrets that yet?

He can't be liking it today very much.....the Saints slapped them around pretty good.

And there's no easy wins in that division either.

Ballard interviewed him for the Job and he wanted him actually. His loss. JB is better than Trubisky, sorry for your loss Nagy. Thank you New England by the way to BB and Kraft for talking Mcdaniles out of coaching here haha . Reich is 5X the coach that McDaniels is. I also want to thank the Pats from the bottom of my heart for taking stinky Dorsett off our hands for a QB like Brissett. I mean we can't make this stuff up. The Pats helping us out twice in a big way lmao

Something tells me the Patriots are still happy with the deal.

Did you know that the Patriots threw only 2 passing touchdowns in their entire playoff run last year?

Did you know that Phillip Dorsett had 2 receiving touchdowns in his playoff run last year?

Yeah, the patriots are happy with Dorsett.

We'll have to wait until McD takes over the Pats before we can see how he'll do as a head coach. He may be amazing, we don't have data yet.

We can really thank NE when we beat them in the playoffs. Wouldn’t that be something having JB as the QB and beating them.

My data comes from his Denver days. He won't have Tom in NE either, Reich is better,

Good point, thanks. I forgot about his Denver days. OTOH, I am not sold on Tom being that amazing, rather the product of an amazing HC/system. I realize a lot of my skepticism is my hatred for the Pats. :rawr:

See above, I just posted that. I agree. He was 11-17 in Denver. So far Reich is 14-8 and 1-1 in the playoffs.

No biggy, I almost forgot he was in Denver as well haha . McDaniles has a great offesnive mind but he seems immature.

This reminds me of the KC when some of you underestimated our team. Now we need to humble ourselves. Yes we won today, remember 1-0 each week.

Our team is very humble. JB, TY, Ebron, Doyle, Mack, Nelson, Kelly, Houston, Leonard. I love this team coached by Reich

Nagy has put in that horizontal passing attack for Trubisky.  They are an offensive juggernaut.

That Saint's Dline looked scary good today.

Yeah they did.... and they handled the Bears WITHOUT Brees and Kamara.

Quite the dogfight emerging in the NFC between them and several solid teams.

They have been since the Dallas game. Like, best front 4 in the league good.

The only thing horizontal today was Trubisky. haha

This wasn’t meant to be a theoretical discussion about had we got McDaniels or why we’re better off with Frank. Just a little ha ha about bad decision making by someone whose decision making was supposed to be a strong suit.

I just wanted to post this evaluation of Trubisky from Greg Cosell before the draft:

WOW. It's uncanny how accurate he is especially in the "transition" section. This is why I love Cosell. He's one of the few people in media that actually watches film diligently and knows what he's talking about when evaluating it.

And don't forget how pathetic Mcdaniels was as the rams offensive coordinator a few years back. Outside of ne he has really sucked. Glad we don't have him and have a good coach. I am starting to wonder," just how good is Frank Reich"?

Look who the Bears passed on to select Trubisky, Mahomes and Watson.

At least I had the sense to know they should've took Watson. I posted they should've took Watson when this was going on. I didn't say Mahomes but I did say Watson. Trubisky isn't the answer and never was. I couldn't believe they didn't draft Watson. Nobody knew how great Mahomes would be so I get passing on him. Trubisky = Tannehill IMO.

    • I attended 1 RCA Dome game and it was the final season and it was the undefeated showdown vs the Patriots. Yeah, Colts blew a 20-10 4th q lead (bunch of injuries) but the game was awesome. I only remember Welker cussing at a Colt defender as he caught a pass with 2 min left to secure the victory kneel downs. I heard him from the other side of the stadium and he yelled "you F***ing suck" to Hayden or someone else. I thought to myself... man I hope that little midget never wins a Super Bowl.    I think back now and laugh because without that loss, the Pats would've never had their 18-1 season losing the Super Bowl as 18-0 monsters to Eli and the wildcard Giants. I then laugh because Welker lost 2 Super Bowls on the Patriots then lost in the SB on the Broncos team w/Peyton.   I still wonder to this day if I cursed him? Remember his huge drop in the 2011 Super Bowl that was played in Lucas Oil Stadium? Haha!   But back on topic. The loudest I've ever heard Lucas Oil Stadium was in the 2009 season during the now infamous "4th and 2" game. I remember the stadium both Colts and Pats fans being confused for a minute when everyone realized Bill was going to go for it on his own 28 yard line to try and run out the final 2 minutes. Then all Colts fans stood up in their seats (besides the losers who gave up and left early in the 4th Q when the Colts were behind 14-31) and screamed our lungs out for that 4th and 2 play!  Then the fans erupted with sheer joy when Bullitt made the stop and the refs signaled as such. Then of course Peyton drove the team and also took time off the clock and zipped a 2 yard pass to Wayne for the win with 13 seconds left.   Patriots fans who were talking crap all game while ahead left their seats quickly to avoid eating crow (like the losers they are).   Still my best single play memory at a Colts game tied with the Peyton to Clark TD to seal the trip to Super Bowl 44 a couple months later.    but 4th and 2 was def the loudest I've ever heard the stadium get! we wanted that win vs Bill Brady and Moss bad.
    • Ugh. Not a fan of either. No better options on the wire?
    • If he gets enough carries versus Houston I think he'll run for around 80 to 100 again. I believe in him.
    • I've quietly known, but I do believe you are right.  That's why I posted it here because most people think he sucks.  Right after the Jaguars game I was watching the celebration and Reich called him out the crowd by name and talked him up in front of everybody. Reich said that he dominated and played just like he practiced the whole week.  He said "Big Grover" what did we say the word for the week is?  Grover replied "Indominable".  Reich said that's what happens when we play like we practice.
