Oh I agree. I felt like Luck either needed the next Barry Sanders or a lineman that could protect him on a consistent basis. To me Nelson looked like the best O.Lineman I have seen coming out since Larry Allen. I loved the pick. Chubb looked good but not great to me, JMO. Had Nelson been gone I would've went Chubb though. I knew Barkley would be gone. -

I would want as much gtd money I could get. Ideally, a good team traded up to get you...but I think these guys are mostly alpha types that would welcome the challenge of turning around a bad team. -

From comments CB said before the draft, I did not think they would take Nelson (he talked about starting quality guards being available in the 2nd and 3rd round). But man, am I glad he did. -
Calm down. JB does not throw the ball down field. He hasn't done it all season. We were 6 and 2 when he wasn't throwing the ball down field. We are now 6-6 when he still isn't throwing the ball down field. I never said it wasn't important. What I say is that it is not the singular basis for determining that he is not "the answer" What about his short game accuracy? Does that matter? What was it the first half of the season, and what has it been the last three games? Does anybody know by watching the games? Or do they have to go mine some data before they know?

Being honest I was in favour of a trade down at the time. Nelson has proven then idea wrong so far and I couldn’t be happier.
