Multiple teams interested in trading for him. I would not b surprised if the Colts were  one of those teams. A 6 overall pick and only 25.  I think it would take a 2nd rounder at least.  If they could get him with say and 2nd and another lower pick,  I would go for it.

As much as I may chide people for lowball trade offers, I think a 2nd may be too much for his production level and what may be a 11 game rental

He is in last year of rookie deal.  Can u not pick up the 5th year option and have him for another year?

He's currently in his 5th year, he got the option granted this off-season, which shot his contract up to 14mil.

I am watching the Jets game and I must admit, I am not overly impressed with Williams.  Mayb playing in a one gap system would benefit him?

And this should have been the game where he would have shown off some skills getting to the qb, as this was really the first game this year where the Jets were consistently playing with a lead.

I think this is a lot closer to a 5th round pick territory.

If we win this week I could see Ballard being interested in Williams and maybe a few others.  A trade could also involve players like Odum, Gaethers or Wilson and a pick.  I think winning this week would make a trade more likely.  We could use DL and WR help for a run.  Not to mention we are in deep trouble if Costanzo goes down for any length of time.  JMO.

I HIGHLY doubt that it happens,

I am usually against all the trade for this guy, trade for that guy bantor......

But to me..... right now, DT is a HUGE priority, for this team, right now.

I would offer a fourth round pick and and a conditional pick, plunk him in the rotation at DT (both spots)

Clowney is a much more valuable player, and was traded for a 3rd, and 2 non starters

He lines up at DE and DT, he is really good against the run, he also gets some pressure

He is basically a half year rental, as he is on the last year of his contract

We could work out a long term deal if he plays well

I’d offer them a 3rd round pick and Haeg for Williams. They seem to like doing business with us. The trade in the 2018 draft and they also have 3 former Colts on their team (Anderson, Basham, and Hairston).

Or just wait till FA. Which is way more likely because you know Ballard likes dem picks lol

For a 4th or less this season I'd be into it he could be a really good DT in our 4-3 scheme I think.

Agreed our pass rush and run D has to get better if we are to have any shot at contending this year.

Jets will ask for no less than a 3rd round pick for him. Wait until he hits free agency.

A 3rd round pick wouldn’t be bad considering we have two 2nd round picks. Plus I think the roster is nearing the state where there’s enough young high-ceiling players that you can afford to trade a 2nd or 3rd round pick.

Plus the Colts could use him now as opposed to later. Once we get into December, we’re going to need a run stopper like him because Hunt and Stewart ain’t cutting it.

I couldn't agree more.  He would be the perfect addition if we wanted to upgrade the defensive side of the ball.  He is young and he would also be a major contributor for many years to come.  Hopefully Ballard is interested and can he can strike another deal with the Jets.  We can afford to trade a 2nd or 3rd right now and get an immediate return in a position of need.

Slightly off topic, but did anyone recognize B/R got rid of the comments section they had. There are other options, but not the standard comment section.

Over the years, I did catch when they were pushing an agenda, they’d close the comment section, but like I said, 100% gone now.

This is okay.  We didn't draft him there.  He's a solid run stopper now and he does get pressure on the QB.  Just what we need and he is available.  It would be like deja vu with Booger McFarland.

Stewart isn't doing horrible but Hunt isn't anywhere near the same player he was last year.

Traded to the Giants for a 2020 3rd and 2021 5th

That’s a steal. Only thing I can see is that the Giants 3rd rounder should be a pretty high pick so maybe we got outbid.

That is stunning on a guy who is in his contract year and is playing nothing like it
