Grigson depressing fact

Andrew thoughts aside.

That guy definitely damaged this roster/team/organization.

Don't remember if it was true, but we even had therapists mediating between owner/GM/HC for #s sake.

Not bashing my boy Jim Irsay, but we're (Colts fans) going to always wonder how it would've went if he hired two different GM/HC's.

Only 2 players from his 2012-2014 drafts are still in the nfl.. can you guess who they are?

If you count practice squad (Gerri Green, Jackson Barton) and IR (Daurice Fountain, Javon Patterson), Ballard is 29/29 of players still in the NFL from his first 3 drafts... dismiss those players and he's still 25/29.

A few players are not with us any more, but landed on other rosters (Denzelle Goode -- OAK, Terrell Basham -- NYJ, Nate Hairston -- NYJ, Zach Banner -- PITT).

I posted more information in a recent thread bashing Ballard's drafts -- he has actually done a phenomenal job to date with his drafting.

Henry Anderson still on the Jets?

He was 2015... the OP specified 2012-2014.

50 points to you for the Letterkenney reference lmao

I dont know how you relate an Army Base to the Colts?  In the 1970s,  I spent 2 years hauling M60Tanks from Letterkenny Army Base, Pennsylvania- to Fort Bliss, Texas.

I still look at that 2014 roster and get mind blown at how THAT team not only made the AFCCG, but they beat Peyton in the playoffs, in DENVER, something not even Brady could do

They also won games with out Luck... The next year. And beat the Broncos again their Superbowl year.

I remember when Hasselbeck came in and they went like 4-0. Mostly beating trash AFCS teams like the Jags and Texans, but they also beat Matt Ryan in Atlanta. That was pretty funny.

Letterkenny is a hilarious TV show about a made-up small town in Ontario, Canada.

    • Can’t blame the general manager when there aren’t quality backups on the team? Can’t blame the head coach for poor play calling and game management? Are you upset that people aren’t happy the Colts are terrible this year and weren’t prepared to play a long season.   The Ravens had a ton of injuries (a couple season ending) to start the year and they are playing well. It’s Ballard’s fault for not having quality backups pieces (and the Colts DO NOT have many) and it’s Reichs fault for allowing the Colts to lose these “winnable games” So yes, it is their fault.   Also, Colts are middle to high in the league for injuries every year, sometimes it’s not “unlucky” sometimes it the way training staff and medical staff handle the players.
    • The 53 man roster was extended when the 10-man PS became 16.    But, the NFL needs to do away with trimming the 53 to 46/47 on game day.   This has never been a good idea.    Ive read in the past that the weaker franchises are in favor of this rule as they think it helps them be more competitive with the better run franchises.    It’s time to man-up and play all your players.
    • Yeah, and I don't think Frank Reich is necessarily embracing this approach. If asked, he would still tout the 'run to set up the pass / play action' line that every coach has been saying for 40 years.    I just think the early situations dictated it. The first drive is an example. Successful pass play, first down. Then play action (which I love, I want to see more play action after successful pass plays, even twice in a row), which resulted in a sack because Wentz had nowhere to throw the ball and refused to throw it away. Now it's 2nd and 16, and we know what the situation calls for. I don't think they intended to not call a run play on the first series, they just got behind the chains and couldn't get that second first down.    But, maybe analyzing that approach will impress something on Reich's mind, and the early scripts won't have to be run heavy out of a sense of duty to the run game. Just call good plays, execute, and get your offense going. The run game will take care of itself. We have a great RB, and the OL is doing a reasonably good job run blocking (still struggling in short yardage), so we don't have to force it.
    • Because your think they just announce the restructure the same morning we find out about Blackmon. I doubt that.
    • Some of us were talking about maybe converting RYS to FS.  I'd actually love to see it.  I could see him being a Holy Terror at FS.  Knocking the pizz out of guys in front and corner skills behind.  I could see Rock being a perennial Pro Bowl type at FS if not All Pro.    We obviously have Corner issues, but man I really think this kid might just be playing out of position in the NFL.  Too slow for corner.
