Give him more carries.  Pay him and play him.  Otherwise, cut him loose and up grade.

I think those stats are a bit skewed in the fact that Wilkins got those lead rb carries behind an underperforming OL that hadn't gelled yet. That was during our losing streak to kick off the season. His biggest issue was ball security, but as long as that's cleaned up, he should be getting a solid share of snaps.

And yet in game 2 last year vs Wash, where Mack played, Wilkins had an excellent 10 carries for 61 yards.

Maybe having a higher level back like Mack playing, makes the oline look better.

They give him carries to keep the defense honest...but they basically amount to wasted plays because he's not an NFL RB.

You give him plays to keep D's honest, but you don't give him plays on 3rd and short in a competitive game. That's just bad play calling. No, he's not an "NFL RB". He's and NFL "APB", and should be used as such. Belichick's use of James White is the model we should be following.

Yeah he did but I see why reich uses the runningbacks the way he does now all 3 have an unique ability...I think we're one of the very very few teams who uses all 3 runningbacks in a game
