Loss sucks yes but (this is just me) only 3 with better records than us in AFC.

Chargers and browns might be able to go on a run. Chargers have a easy schedule the next few games.

We're 500, but have played 4 mediocre teams.

Being tied for 4th with a bunch of others doesn't make me feel better heading into KC.

But thanks for trying to cheer us up lol.

Atlanta is crazy not very good after they got whipped by the titans.

It looks like the whole division might be 2-2 after today...a fresh start for everyone.

I've always looked at it like Dungy used to. Worry about the division, not the entire conference.

I'd be fine representing the #4 seed as afc South champs at 7-9. Couldn't care less. Once in, you've got a chance

If we win our division games and beat teams like Miami, Denver, Steelers without Ben, etc. we are still fine if we are healthy. Houston lost today at home vs the Panthers and Cam didn't even play. Today's loss sucks and it is bad but crap happens. We may even go 2-3 because KC is next, it will still be OK. Division games are the crucial ones.

Record doesn't matter much.  We saw the floor of what the colts are today.  Lost to the raiders at home.....not a good look for a potential "playoff team".  Quite the opposite.  It's the first time I've doubted Reich had our offense ready.  And our d has been pathetic two weeks running.

I don’t know where Reichs play calling went today. It was so vanilla and bad.

Jags have a lead.

Not sure the offensive production can be blamed on Reich.  I thought he called a pretty good game.  Players just didn't execute.  In spite of a s#!+ performance we weren't totally out of it til the pick 6.  Theres no excuse for the past 2 weeks of defense tho.  That's where the vanilla is.

I feel like Reichs play calling has been pretty bad overall. I can predict almost every play we are running!!

So.. If someone's entire job is based around predicting what we are running, and they are paid to do it, I'm sure they can also figure it out.

So tired of seeing us run up the middle for 1 or 2 yards. Don't kill the messenger but I have not seen much difference in play calling from the Pags era..

The only different is the Oline.

If you don't see the difference in play calling from the Pags era I don't think anyone can help you with that.

Atlanta is awful right now. They have some very good pieces, but bad coaching/management, and some holes.

What bothers me, is we struggled vs ATL at home, and TN goes on the road and bullies them.

AFC is Chiefs, Patriots in their own tier and then everybody else.

When look at Colts schedule see more losses than wins.  Yes, last year started 1-5, but also were significantly better at the most important position (QB).  If I recall, schedule a lot easier too.

    • A true class act. I will miss Rudy.    He wrote a nice farewell note to Vikings fans, former and current teammates, coaches, front office, owners and Minnesota in the Players Tribune.   https://www.theplayerstribune.com/posts/dear-minnesota-vikings-kyle-rudolph-football-nfl
    • The Colts did last year...except Rivers/JB wasn’t exactly Mahomes level on the field.   But if this team had Mahomes...that would be wonderful. Would much rather spend $40M on an elite QB than $25M on a dice roll.   PFF did an analysis of WAR above expectation for players drafted from 2017-current. In 4-year projections for Mahomes, he had a WAR of 11...while Q was at 1.6. So by this measure, Mahomes is ~7x more valuable (in WAR) than Q. Which means right now...with Mahomes at $40M AAV and Q at $6M AAV...they are basically equal value.   Obviously that will change when Q gets his contract. But clearly, even at $40M, a QB like Mahomes is still a bargain compared to other positions on their second contracts.   (And to be clear...I am not picking on Q or saying they shouldn’t sign him. PFF just happened to include his WAR in the article so I could use it for a comparison.)
    • The rookie deal amount isn’t relevant...but it’s meant to show the jump...which is definitely relevant.    We aren’t talking about one player...it’s (3) players. And when you are suddenly paying x times more for the same handful of players...it has an impact on the cap and roster construction (things like efficiency, positional spending and surplus value). And for a forward-thinking GM like Ballard, I imagine those are important aspects.    But I actually said I was not “eager” to trade anyone. I am just open to it if helps balance out cap and roster construction, along with providing premium draft capital that can help the team replace those players or address other areas.    I would guess the number of GMs that actually trade players heading into their second contracts have a much more specific analysis (GMs like Lynch, Grier, Douglas and BB...to name a few).    In my (admittedly novice) opinion, it just seems like having 5 players (out of 51) take up more than half of the cap space is a potentially untenable situation over time.
    • nothing his offensive line can't fix. He needs to be very careful what he say's , said, and does.  Best attitude adjustment ever.
    • I remember during the draft when Watson came out and Chicago traded up to get the #2 pick, I was like I called it even saying that in here, laughing. Thinking I called it, this was too easy. Then I heard this - with the 2nd pick of the 2017 draft, the Chicago Bears select Mitchell Trubisky. I was like
