Colts Vs. Raiders Game Day Thread

Recommended Posts

Hi, Colts fans!   :default_20smile:   Our 2-1 Indianapolis Colts host their second straight regular season game at Lucas Oil Stadium (the building)  as they host the visiting  and 1-2 Oakland Raiders.

A win this afternoon by the Colts would even the all-time series at 9 games apiece.  Oakland currently leads at 9-8, including 15 regular season and 2 postseason games.

Raiders are likely playing the Colts in their last road visit, game, and year at Indianapolis in their title as the Oakland Raiders, before they move to Las Vegas in 2020.

Malik Hooker,  Tyquan Lewis , and Darius Leonard will not play this afternoon because of injuries, and T.Y. Hilton availability could be a gametime decision.  Colts rookie WR Parris Campbell may also receive more playing time and a bigger role on helping the offense.

Andrew Luck threw touchdown passes, 12 yards to Reggie Wayne, and 20 yards to Dwayne Allen, and ran his game-clinching 19 yard TD run with 5:20 remaining in the fourth quarter, along with three Adam Vinatieri PAT's to defeat the Raiders 21-17 in Oakland's previous visit to Indianapolis back on September 8, 2013.

Colts also defeated the Raiders 42-28 in both teams recent regular season meeting played at Oakland back on October 28, 2018.   Luck threw three touchdowns, each to Mo Alie-Cox, Eric Ebron, and Jack Doyle and completed 22 of 31 passes for 239 yards,  Marlon Mack ran 132 yards on 25 carries, and Doyle had 6 receptions for 70 yards, and 1 TD, for the Colts win.

Kevin Harlan and former NFL QB Rich Gannon are announcing the live TV game commentary,  along with sideline reporter and interviewer John Schriffen, for The NFL On CBS, seen regionally in the USA, and locally in Indianapolis on WTTV CBS Channel 4, live on HD.

LOS's retractable roof should be closed for the players and fans stay dry and cool inside, for this afternoon's 1:05 PM Eastern Standard Time kickoff, because cloudy skies and scattered thunderstorms  at 82 degrees, feels like 85 degrees is the local gamecast outside the stadium area, along with 35% precipitation, 62% humidity, and southern winds at 7 miles per hour.

Lead Referee Scott Novak leads his NFL officiating crew to supervise the live game action on the field between the Raiders and Colts.

NO injuries to the Colts and Raiders players. Go Blue Horseshoe, for win #3 and be on top of the AFC South, and LET'S GO COLTS!!!!! :cheer: :coltslogo:   :1colts:   :colts:  :coltshelmet:  :coltslogo:   :cheer:  :D

Sheard is playing. That is big news.

I'd rather have a bad first half than a bad second half.

Thanks again for opening the thread, LOS.  I'm about ready to head to the game from visiting friend's house in Bengal territory.  Plan on losing most of my voice today, lol, cheering our boys on to a 35 - 20 victory!I

Go:colts: !  All day, every day!!  :coltshelmet:

Question, I am in Ohio and trying to find a way to stream the game. I'm thinking about picking up Hulu, but i'm not sure if it allows you to stream out of market games or not. Anyone know the best way to stream an out of market game?

Either NFL Sunday Ticket or nefarious methods. It won't be on Hulu unless you are in a market already receiving the game

Oakland down another WR. Not good after they released Ryan grant.

I doubt they even notice they are down Ryan Grant, would have the same production with or without him playing LoL.

    • I know we havent seen him in NFL game action, but his throwing traits cant be taught. Nice accuracy and consistently hits guys in stride. If he has learned to read defenses better and not stare down targets, could he be the franchise QB? I am intrigued and hope we can see some serious Eason play come training camp and pre games. It sucks having a guy with great arm talent and yet havent seen him in action yet
    • Goff is marginally better than Mitch Trubisky.. so no. Stafford is still the best trade target (besides Watson, not happening) and there's not a close second imo. I hear you Carr fans. I'd rather run Rivers out there again than do that.   Very few QB's at this point are really worth a 25 million cap hit for years into the future, but it's what the going rate is now.
    • Texans making their push for Bieniemy.
    • I still think it’s high but a writer on the athletic had 5 different teams team trading major players and 2 or 3 first rounders and the latest this year being 12.  The others were top 5 picks  so maybe there’s something to this @danlhart87   He just may know his stuff!
    • Goff would cost us: 2021 - $28.825m - all guaranteed 2022 - $25.5m - $15.5m guaranteed 2023 - $25.5m - none guaranteed 2024 - $26m - none guaranteed   If Rams trade Goff they save $12m(ish) in cap space this year anr are off the hook for $15.5m Roster Bonus which is guaranteed for 2022. They have incentive to move him, but would have to likely attach compensation.   Saying all that, I think Im as not interested in him, as Im not in Wentz.
