Same votes as last week, average across the board.

As for Brissett, I don't think he'll be as flustered as he was at times last week (he admitted the Titans exotice looks played a part in that). But I don't think he's gonna have 2-3 TD's every game either, so we'll see what happens.

I think that's been JB's challenge in 2017 and this year (teams varying looks). He's never been great at adjusting/reacting. I think he'll improve with time, but not sure he'll ever be great at it. My biggest fear is that teams will take note, and we'll see a lot more of it. I think we're going to see a lot of at minimum vs AFCS foes.

I voted average offense, and above average defense.  If I could change my offense vote, I think I'd bump it to above average, only because it is home field advantage, and I think Reich will open up the playbook a little more.  Here's to a great game for the Colts!!!

Hi Mods, could one of you merge the non-poll duplicate with this poll. Thanks in advance.

After another week, and some time to digest the TN game, how do you feel?

Key Stats through week 2

Total O (YPG): Ranked 22nd

Total D (YPG): Ranked 14th

JB (YPG): Ranked 30th

JB (QBR): Ranked 19th

I think both are likely to be skewed and a poor indicator of where we are this year solely due to the style of offense we play. If we continue to pound the football and set up/convert short 3rd downs, driving the ball efficiently, total offense is going to continue to put us toward the bottom. Efficiency stats are going to have us near the top. I think JB continues to improve his qbr and possibly put him in the top 10 by years end on that stat, and his td count and td/int ratio will be very good, but he'll be at the bottom in yardage. That's OK. As long as he continues to improve and we continue running the football at a top 5 level, we will be a playoff caliber force that these high profile offense won't want to go up against and be forced to play a slow tempo dog fight. Anyone that says this team won't be able to hold KC and NE's jockstrap by playoff time (if we continue to finish games and pull W's) isn't paying attention. All this young team has to do is continue to work and develop.

I'm good with efficiency over yard, etc, if it translates to wins....... but I'd pump the breaks on Pats and Chiefs talk this early. There are a lot of question marks at this stage, and frankly it's too early to be definitive about anything. I was more confident after our loss than I was after our win. It'll be an interesting year, that's for sure.

I'm definitive in my thinking that we have no reason to not compete in every game. We have the talent and depth across the board to be a playoff team. And we have the talent at the line of scrimmage to win in the playoffs.

Question marks? Who doesn't have question marks. New england? That's because they played the Dolphins last week. KC? They have plenty. I want to see what they do Sunday against the Ravens, who could run all over their defense and control the game.

I am ok with that because all it takes is one time for JB to burn them deep. TY and Campbell both are dangerous deep threats.

Cain was probably the most open I saw deep. I think we have 3 guys, 4 really if you include Hines, that can get behind the D.

Yeah, running between the tackles will be tough. The Falcons have gotten lit up to the outside but have mostly bottled up things on the interior.

It'll be a really interesting matchup between our OL vs their DL.

I've hung out with one of their DTs. Great guy. I hope he has a bad day tomorrow lol.

Something funny I just realized. TY only has 7 less yards then jones through two games. They should be just as scared of TY. Julio is just talked about more.

Ridley and Sanu are having very good starts, and MR is distributing much better than JB,,,, so I wouldn't put too much into Jone's lack of stats.

I know Ryan is a better QB. I just think it’s funny TY is right up there. Hopefully Cain or Campbell will grow up and start to get some yards. It really hurts with no funchess.

Honestly I'd rather see TY get less targets. I know that sounds strange, but if JB can start distributing better, this O could really open up and be imposing. I only miss Funch on the big crossing routes, and RZ. I think they'll be fine if they start relying on speed instead of size.

The eagles Oline  got Wentz killed against the falcons. I don’t know if Atlanta dline is that good or the eagles having injuries at receiver made him hang on to the ball that long. Oline must do well at pass protection.

ATL DL is pretty decent. DTs are very good, and better than the DEs, but DE aren't bad. That's why I think we may not have the success running like we have. Grady can wreck stuff.

They always say it takes rookie Wr a couple of years to grow up. We basically have two. With TY on the other side though they should get some targets. I think TY has been a good security blanket for JB eased into the season. We need more Ebron really. He is the one that can really create mismatches.

Going to be interesting to see how Nelson handles him.

I think it's more JB executing a game manger type game plan than the WRs needing to grow up. And that's OK. Hopefully it comes with time as FR opens up the playbook.

It's going to be a good test for big Q.

Leonard has played all but one snap the first two games. He is going to be a huge loss. The thought of speed, Adams, and franklin having to play any snaps makes me nervous. OKereke and walker better be ready to play the entire game. The only good news is atlanta doesn’t run the ball much.

I'd almost prefer Walker stay at Mike and let Okereke and Speed split time at WILL.

    • I kind of lean toward keeping Kelly. OL depth is still an issue the Colts. You can still draft Haynes or frazier later Both starting caliber Center/Guards later in the draft. Let AR get his feet under him with an experienced OL.
    • The rules are set up for offensive people  to prosper. Also defense isn't  that bad to begin  with injuries and offense  not staying on field long enough  also affects that. Drafting an offensive  play maker helps offense  stay on field and keeps defense fresher.
    • No thanks. A good starter + $12m is too much for a third round pick.
    • Exactly!! The market has spoken and most likely Simmons and his agent overvalue his worth.  One thing we know about the NFL, they will overpay. They go hard the 1st day and overpay and most teams spend their money. The money is usually gone and the dust settles. Got this from PFF who most people love on this site.  "It’s important to Julian Blackmon is a good player, but the free agent is far from perfect. His 68.3 PFF grade made him the 38th-best safety out of 95 eligible players, but that’s largely due to his coverage abilities. The safety missed seven tackles last year, finishing the season with a below-average 59.2 grade against the run. If teams are looking for a box safety, Julian Blackmon is not the free agent they should be targeting. However, in today’s pass-happy NFL, you need a player who can discourage deep shots" What i find alarming from this is Blackmon's strengths are suppose to be against the run and weakness against the pass lol
    • I don't know either way but someone with a history like his and has been in rehab "at least 15 times" it is not a stretch to assume it was an overdose. I had no idea he was only 64.  I thought he was closer to being in his 80's.   Last December, police were called to Jim Irsay’s home around 4:30 a.m. ET and found him in bed unresponsive and cold during what authorities called a "suspected overdose." However, the Indianapolis Colts owner denied the authorities' report. "It wasn’t an overdose,’’ Irsay said to Fox 59 in Indianapolis. "I don’t know why when you have your name in the paper in the past, people throw that out there quickly. I don’t pay attention to it all that much, but I don’t think it’s fair."   "It's a long road and you have to be patient. The great news is everything is going well," a hospitalized Irsay said in March after he underwent a procedure on his right leg. The leg procedure was performed in an effort to improve Irsay's mobility. The 64-year-old also revealed that he has undergone "26 surgeries over the last seven years." The billionaire was the subject of a "Real Sports" interview with Andrea Kremer in November, when he said he has been to rehab "at least 15 times." He also mentioned a near-death situation that gave him an epiphany.    https://www.foxnews.com/sports/colts-owner-jim-irsay-denies-overdosed-police-found-him-unresponsive-december
