Interested to see Okereke in coverage if Leonard can't go. Our LB's kinda got picked on in the first 2 weeks, and Leonard didn't do so well in the passing game. This is a game where I think we're gonna really need a timely INT to flip the field.

Yup, our LBs haven't had the best games. From what I read, Walker is moving over to WILL and Okereke is staying at MIKE. I have a feeling picking on them will continue to be part of the game plan. I'm sure we'll see Speed get some time too.

Who said Walker was moving to Will?  Got a link?

Walker said it in a locker room interview.

Sheard probably won’t go until next week. Leonard is not playing Sunday since he is not practicing.

Like another replied, it was a locker room vid. Local CBS website also reported it I believe.

He (Walker) also said he'd still wear the earpiece (QB of the D).

Not too surprised.  We've been using him like a rented mule.  Really like to see JB7 be able to take over the offense this week.  We need to diversify if we don't want to use Mack up halfway through the season

20 carries a game used to be what you wanted your Bell cow rb to get.... If Mack is a true number one, 18 to 20 is fine.... He just won't play ten years for certain then...

Just because everyone uses rb by committee now doesn't mean you can't have a bellcow rb.  It's like the NBA, just because people go small doesn't mean you have to, if you can bear them with size....

I think if the Colts get to Ryan all will be fine. The Colts should be able to run with success against the Falcons run defense. ST is due for a big play too. Colts win 24-17.

There is really no reason to rush sheard back until he is 100%. AQM has played really well in his spot

I'm saying at the end of the year, given his age and what not,

Hopefully Leonard's concussion doesn't linger too much longer, just for his own sake. Glad they're being cautious with it though.

When did even Darius get concussed?! Geezuz lol

Not sure. They said he didn’t show symptoms until Monday. He finished the game Sunday.

I hope Brissett plays well enough that we don't need to spend draft capital on a QB next year.  Because I'd like to see Ballard reinvest in our defense, a deep, strong offensive line and another big, physical running back to flesh our our corps.

Our backs are good, but to my eye they're a little small which is going to hurt their durability.  The line is going to be the thing that keeps them healthy and effective.

Thankfully Ballard gets it.  His tenure has already turned the OL from a joke into one of our strongest units.  That's why we're getting penetration on the run game and why Brissett has been able to mostly stay upright despite his issues getting rid of the ball.

Hopefully Brisset will perform as a number 1 QB for the Colts.  If the Colts go 5-11, bank on getting a QB in the Draft, could be Fromm

His injury suggests otherwise.  Sports often "used" to do some things that didn't make a ton of sense.

One of the big reasons to distribute responsibility among a RB tandem or unit is that it dramatically increases the chances that your running game is relatively intact in December and January.

Simply from a logical standpoint it never makes sense to pin your hopes on a single point-of failure, especially if that point-of-failure is not a worldbeater.  Mack is a fine RB but not an all-timer.  Spreading out the carries and limiting his exposure makes a lot of sense.  We could well need him at the end of the season so there's no sense burning him out now.p

That is kind of important if we can get better field position. Was their punter also their kickoff guy?

I think I read where he was. They have Matt Bryant who has been known to have short kickoffs.

They say 10 huh lmao . Ok good luck with that haha

Yea they say they will get alot of turnovers. They also say ryan is better than rivers. Statistically  though rivers has been slightly  better  than ryan.

The way the colts report on their “returns” I don’t trust or respect any reports they put out anymore. And the team could care less about what I care about lol.

They'll both be out there, only question is if they're 100% effective.

    • Pocket Passing QBs are defined as QBs who sit in the pocket under pressure and make throws from the pocket. Most of the league these days is based upon QBs getting outside of the pocket to make plays, which means they are not primarily pocket passers. I’m not saying Love will be unable to get outside of the pocket, but I don’t see it much on tape as he has great protection and doesn’t need to. Personally, I don’t care for either of them, and would rather wait for the better class in 2021 while building more this year, but of the two, it would at least be more interesting to go for something the Colts haven’t really ever had. Spice it up a bit, ya know
    • ...a big fat check the man is freaking awesome! Give this dude an extension already    come on we need some humor around here not much else to look forward to the rest of the season for the Colts that is.   Time to laugh with me
    • Huh? The top 15 QB's statistically are all primarily pocket passing QB's. Mahomes, Watson, Wilson, Rodgers, Prescott, Wentz, while being mobile in the pocket, are not running QB's. Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson are really the only 2 QB's used in actual running situations continuously.    Sorry, but there are no Lamar Jackson's in this draft and Hurts isn't the answer either. A) I don't want to see an offense rebuilt into something that isn't sustainable. Eventually LJ will have to sit his * in the pocket. B) Every time I see Hurts' name pop up I wonder if people have actually watched him. There is a reason he couldn't cut it at Bama, and got beat out by an actual passing QB. I don't think there are going to be many teams who are going to rebuild their offense for a guy who can't read a defense, nor progress beyond his first/second read before he's wanting to just take off running. Hurts wouldn't even be on my board just due to him not being a good passing QB.
    • I am in the Love camp.
    • Put me down for NOT being in the Hurts camp
