This is ridiculous

I'm okay with giving him 1 more week.  But if he screws up Sunday like he has the last 3 games, I hate to say it, but the boo's will be so loud that they'll hear them on the moon and the Colts are gonna be forced to deal with it at that point.

Alright in Frank I trust but these are the types of things that if you get wrong sooner or later cost coaches jobs.  Not saying Frank will get fired over this but you can’t get too many of these wrong.

I'm 100% positive Ballard and Irsay are on board.   This wasn't a Frank Reich decision

Ballard is the one who is driving this train.

I wasn't for the booing of Luck walking off the field, but I wouldn't blame the crowd if Vinny missed a PAT or game winner chip shot on Sunday.

Yeah, I'm with ya' on this one.  That's why I'd like to see Ballard say something on it.  I am sure both Reich and Ballard are good soldiers, but CB may hint at this decision being out of his pay grade.

I feel bad for the players if we lose another because of him. Players don’t deserve to go out there and play hard to have your kicker lose you the game. NFL games are close. There are only 16 games. You can’t have your kicker costing you a game or a playoff birth.

Beginning to wonder what happened to no one player is greater than team! JS

Reich also said today you don’t treat players equally.

Love AV! But we are not talking medium to long range kicks, it's extra pts. You can't keep giving those away.  Guess we will just have to wait and see and hope he can correct it. Honestly, I  have little faith when he kicks now, which is not the way I want to see him go out!

Sucks about Leonard.

And sticking by Vinny...alright. We'll see how he does against ATL but the backlash will grow to pretty epic proportions if he keeps struggling. Booing after PAT misses, etc. Could get ugly.

He could potentially get booed out of the stadium like Luck.

I’ve been on the “Retire Vinny” train for more than a year now.  And he’s done nothing to convince me otherwise.

But even I wouldn’t boo him if he missed a kick.  He doesn’t deserve that - quite the contrary.  He just shouldn’t be kicking in the NFL anymore.

Here's the rub...if you truly believe he shouldn't be kicking in the NFL anymore, what is he doing trotting his self out on the field?  If he knows he's done then just hand in the notice and walk away.  Andrew did it and I didn't blame him (yeah the timing sucked, but...).

I think it's a fairly safe bet that no one on West 56th is listening to you, no matter what train you're on.

I think he tried too and the Colts talked him out of it and got to his competitive side.

So if he costs them another game you're okay with giving him more time. You are more patient than myself.

    • That is true.  He has said he'd like to remain a Colt (but of course, why would he say otherwise when still under contract).  It may be beneficial to us that he was hurt as he probably won't be the one setting his market price (i.e., it's not like he's coming off an all-pro year and can demand top $, he's going to have to sign a relatively short term deal with minimal guarantees and more incentive-based).     TBH, if he left Indy, I tend to think his most likely destination would be Chicago to reunite w/ Pagano.
    • I haven't been able to watch the last couple of Colts games just listened to them on the radio.  But it seems they have gone a lot more no huddle the last two games and they do very well from it.  So, if the Colts play a significant up temp game on offense, I don't think the Titans can hang with the Colts.  But there are still a lot of unknowns.   Will Reich stick with JT, even if he fumbles or is not lighting it up to start? Will Eberflus finally develop a 1st half game plan instead of waiting for the other team to have two scoring drives before he starts to figure out what they are doing and adjust things to stop it? Now that Pittman is going to get more attention, will someone else step up and be that consistent WR that can beat zone or 1 on 1 matchups. Will Reich play the field position game?  I don't remember the exact stat but last year most of Tenn's scoring drives were 60 yards or less.
    • I don't necessarily disagree with anything you've said.  However, there have been 0 rookie QBs who have made the SB, and only 2, Mark Sanchez and Joe Flacco, have won more than 1 game in the playoffs.  SO the chances of a drafted rookie coming in next year and taking us past the wild card round seem pretty negligible.   Sure old man Rivers arm could fail.  Maybe Eason is ready to go next year.  That would probably be pretty shocking but it certainly would be a great boost to the org long term. Trading for a quality QB is possible but not likely.   Hopefully, Luck is bored.  That is really to me the only plausible way for us to significantly improve our QB situation next year. Dak is available.  Other than that, I don't see much on the immediate horizon to compete IN 2021.   Bottom line, is most likely Rivers is our best option assuming he wants to play again.
    • For what it's worth I live in Spokane and see all of the Seahawks games.  Metcalf is usually pretty reliable and I was surprised to see the drops this week.  But, who knows.  He still needs some work.  Lockett is more dependable.  He is fast, runs good routes, and catches just about everything around him.
    • I still think we need to win a championship or get deep multiple years in the playoffs first. He's 1-1 in the Postseason so far. Let's see where we end up.
