This is ridiculous

I'm okay with giving him 1 more week.  But if he screws up Sunday like he has the last 3 games, I hate to say it, but the boo's will be so loud that they'll hear them on the moon and the Colts are gonna be forced to deal with it at that point.

Alright in Frank I trust but these are the types of things that if you get wrong sooner or later cost coaches jobs.  Not saying Frank will get fired over this but you can’t get too many of these wrong.

I'm 100% positive Ballard and Irsay are on board.   This wasn't a Frank Reich decision

Ballard is the one who is driving this train.

I wasn't for the booing of Luck walking off the field, but I wouldn't blame the crowd if Vinny missed a PAT or game winner chip shot on Sunday.

Yeah, I'm with ya' on this one.  That's why I'd like to see Ballard say something on it.  I am sure both Reich and Ballard are good soldiers, but CB may hint at this decision being out of his pay grade.

I feel bad for the players if we lose another because of him. Players don’t deserve to go out there and play hard to have your kicker lose you the game. NFL games are close. There are only 16 games. You can’t have your kicker costing you a game or a playoff birth.

Beginning to wonder what happened to no one player is greater than team! JS

Reich also said today you don’t treat players equally.

Love AV! But we are not talking medium to long range kicks, it's extra pts. You can't keep giving those away.  Guess we will just have to wait and see and hope he can correct it. Honestly, I  have little faith when he kicks now, which is not the way I want to see him go out!

Sucks about Leonard.

And sticking by Vinny...alright. We'll see how he does against ATL but the backlash will grow to pretty epic proportions if he keeps struggling. Booing after PAT misses, etc. Could get ugly.

He could potentially get booed out of the stadium like Luck.

I’ve been on the “Retire Vinny” train for more than a year now.  And he’s done nothing to convince me otherwise.

But even I wouldn’t boo him if he missed a kick.  He doesn’t deserve that - quite the contrary.  He just shouldn’t be kicking in the NFL anymore.

Here's the rub...if you truly believe he shouldn't be kicking in the NFL anymore, what is he doing trotting his self out on the field?  If he knows he's done then just hand in the notice and walk away.  Andrew did it and I didn't blame him (yeah the timing sucked, but...).

I think it's a fairly safe bet that no one on West 56th is listening to you, no matter what train you're on.

I think he tried too and the Colts talked him out of it and got to his competitive side.

So if he costs them another game you're okay with giving him more time. You are more patient than myself.

    • I like Herbert a lot.   I agree about Kliff. He is really mis-using Murray.  Seems he likes to make things complicated for some reason.
    • Kliff Kingsbury's play calling has not impressed me whatsoever, just like Mike McCarthy in Dallas. Right now, they were relying too much on Kyler Murray's rushing till they are now forced to use their RBs more. Murray still does not use his TEs and slot WRs enough. Herbert as a rookie is a better passer than Kyler Murray, IMO, with the way he distributes it around.
    • Yeah, its just one analysts opinion, but he seems to have nailed what we have seen with RYS already.  The other analysts opinion on DN also identify similar things (notably poor footwork, which explains getting beat and grabbing).  And he had only one year of CB experience at the FBS level.  A transfer from FCS-now-DII Presbyterian,    https://thedraftnetwork.com/player/rock-ya-sin   And not a real strong summary, but maybe accurate:   If he can avoid being a penalty machine and keep from getting matched up against the speedier receivers in the league, Ya-Sin has a shot to be a strong no. 2 outside cornerback in a press-man scheme at the next level. His effort and intensity will impress coaches, especially given how he defends the run, but his mediocre-at-best athletic testing is definitely pause-worthy, especially given the level of competition he faced in his one season at the FBS level.
    • The Cards baffle me. They should be playing a lot better than what they are. Lots of inconsistency, to the point they remind me of the Luck era teams.
    • To your first point, I am not saying that Rock should have improved over his first two years.  Being drafted high and having a high grade placed upon him that is something you absolutely expect.  I am saying that based on your two year model some players are different.  I am saying that in my eyes Rock is different because of his smaller football background compared to many others.     As far as his stats this year compared to last, penalties are something to get use to while he is being targeted much higher than the others (Rhodes and Moore for easy comparison).  Again, this is something I see as "fixable" still.  I have never blamed covid as you mentioned but having a drastically different off-season can effect some but I will not say that is a massive impact with this. Now mentioning Green or Werner, that is being over dramatic in my eyes.  Green was over drafted and Werner was an all-around terrible fit, plus I think Grigson was terrible at his job while here.   Mo Allie-Cox is an UDFA that has made an NFL team and shows good promise at TE.  He doesn't need to be top 15 to show my point of growing in the NFL with limited football experience.  He has grown at blocking and becoming a pass catcher.  He will remain a TE for us next year and hopefully continues to show growth.
