Recommended Posts

Turay was the highest rated edge rusher in week one. He is ready to break out. He might end up with double digit sacks.

Not surprised with Turay.  He was impressive!

Mathis said his commitment to being great is why he puts so much effort into helping him. Starting to see dividends!

As a Rutgers grad, I am super pumped to see Turay to do so well. Always thought he had untapped potential.

Mathis was even there at the game helping him during warmups.

Turay was PFFs highest rated player in the league. Mack #2 RB.

Brissett was #10 QB with 78.6

TY #9 WR 84.7

Nelson #6 OG. Glow #8

Ant #9 OT

Hooker #7 Safety

Houston 16 EDGE 78.9

Leonard #55 LB 51.7. Seems fair, he looked rough.

Kemoko is definitely one of my favorite players on the team so I'm very excited to see him doing so well

Really hope so. We are a dominate pass rusher and NT away from being an elite defense once our rookies mature.

It looks like the 2 premier UFA DT's next year are Michael Brockers and Ndamukong Suh.  The 2 premier DE's are Derek Wolfe and Ezekiel Ansah.  I guess Dante Fowler too.  Probably don't want Suh, but I wouldn't mind any of the others even though they are a little older.  Not sure if there are very many quality NT's in the draft this year that would fit Ballard's vision of a NT for this defense.  I may be wrong so please fact check me :)

That failed strip-tackle was just ugly.  That was his bread and butter last year forcing fumbles.  I'll chalk it up to 1st game "rough"ness like you suggest.  I don't expect to see that bad a tackle from him again this year.  Thought Walker had a far better game than Leonard.

Are you basing this after the first weeks grades???

This past offseason Reich called him a top 20 QB.  Me likey that Brissett is a top 10 QB. Keep it going!

I think Raekwon Davis, Alabama, could play NT on this Defense. Of course, he will be in next year's draft

For a team that was really good in run D last year, you're obsessed with NT. Especially for someone that admits to not actually watching games.

Auburn actually has 2 great interior DLineman that will have 1st round grades in 2020. Derrick Brown would've went in the Top 10 this year but went back to school, he's a lock for the Top 6-7 picks in 2020, his teammate Nick Coe is nasty too. Coe will probably be an early Day 2 pick.

I have to watch the games after they happen on game pass. And this defense has shown it can be pushed around at DT on occasion.

I've been saying all offseason this is Turay's breakout year. I watched him closely during preseason ball and the man is much better than he was last year... and I thought he played really well at times then.

Double digit sacks after starting with one and a couple qb hits in week 1 is in order... I can't help but think he won't benefit from Houston and a young defensive line that keeps getting better with experience.

This team might not make the playoffs this year, but they are going to be fun to watch... and we are going to see some young guys grow into studs that will make us a top 5 contender going into next season. Book it.

The defense needs to be more aggressive and start attacking, take advantage of all the speed we have. Turn it up!

All of our players are graded on every play by our own staff.
PFF is said to be used by many NFL teams. So i wonder who sucks?

Kelly was the 20th graded C.
Shipley was 19.

    • Ok so then why are you a Colts fan and not a Patriots fan? If the win at all costs and stone cold business like approach is what you desire in a franchise what are you doing here? You made the case and presented evidence that that’s just how we do business. Which is true.    Why there’s such an inability for people to understand it, and acknowledge it for what it is is beyond me.    People have no sense of the depth of reality here. To them Adam is just a character on a weekly television show that can be written off and replaced without a second thought.    The reality of the situation is different. It’s just not that cut and dried.
    • He's certainly not irredeemable. There's just a lot more scrutiny that comes with the QB position, fair or not. You can be WR and do drugs, beat women/kids, and still get more chances. CK did none of that.   I'm pretty sure uncle Jim put a foot up his backside, and made a call to Frank. I hope that's enough (Jim's foot), and I think the Colts (and Frank) are a good spot to provide support for him.
    • I've been touting 2020 as "the year" for a while now.  I might be a year too early, but in watching the league this year one thing has struck me:  there aren't any truly "elite" teams out there.  Yes some are better than others, but IMHO the difference between the top and the bottom isn't as great as it used to be.  The Colts are clearly among the average teams, so I think with another shrewd draft (and that Skins round 2 pick sure looks good!) and a couple of impact FA's, I think this team can contend next year.  And Mr. Brady isn't going to be around much longer either.
    • Just to bring this back to last Sunday. Reich should of given hoyer all the snaps in practice.  Because if Jacoby could of went he would of  been fine with no reps. Then we would of had two QB prepared.
