Found this interesting for Colts career sacks leaders. Other than Freeny and Mathis the Colts haven’t had a lot of sack artists since sacks became an official stat. 

 

Anyways, Maniac is already tied for 38th All time with 7 sacks. I don’t expect him to be a double digit sack artist, but he’s going to be special no doubt.

If you mean all-time..... then I'd have to go clear back to Mike Curtis and maybe Ted Hendricks from the Baltimore days.

And the only way you reach the top of a mountain is one step at a time.  Spending too much time focusing on the top can be overwhelming so  you you focus on the obstacle in front of you right now and successfully negotiate it.  Then you move on to the next obstacle.  

 

Unless you have a helicopter then it is much easier.

if you look at only 4-3 weak side line backers, that 7 sacks was among the best ever from that position for any team 

 

i think 8 is the record for 4-3 line backers in general, set by Brian Urlacher

I'm a big Jeff Herrod fan. He was a great player on a lot of really bad teams and never got the credit he deserved. He only had 14.5 sacks for his entire career.

 

But, I dont think he was as good as Darius Leonard is going to be.
