[Schefter] Colts trade Nate Hairston to the Jets for a 6th round pick

Good price and answers a lot of roster questions.

Now down to Tell, Milton, Taylor and Collins for the final 2 spots.

Now we have the following:

1

2

2 - Wash

3

4

5

6

6 -Jets

7

I'd be willing to be that there is another trade or two in the works at other positions as well.

Nice, this was the trade we probably all saw coming. The Henry Anderson type deal...and to the Jets no less. 6th instead of a 7th though, not bad.

This shows the depth of our team, it’s getting exciting to get to this point. Keep giving more ammo for Ballard to work with!!

I couldn't believe we didn't get more than a 7th for Anderson.

Oh, no.     That's not the case.

We WERE offered more.    But we politely turned it down.

Im sure it is. Its just interesting how often we do trade with them

We've been trading with them because of their location within the draft and their willingness to move lots of picks.

They had 2 high 2's last year,  and another this year that they were willing to offer.

They moved a 7 for Anderson.      And now a 6 for Hairston.

The other reason,   is they project to be sub-500 again.     That's our hope.    So we're getting a better pick, a higher pick from them than we would with most other teams.    We may be getting a pick that's anywhere from 10-20 spots higher in any given round.

Also, it's pretty much already been said, but these trades with the Jets have been pretty consistently good for both sides.

We helped them get their QB and we got some extra picks. They got Henry Anderson and Nate Hairston and we didn't have to cut them for nothing. Good stuff.

So it’s possible to draft 8 new qbs next year?
