Giants fan agree with healthy star sitting out All Pre-season

Recommended Posts

Giants fans have no problem with this at all >>>>> (NY Post newspaper ) headline "The Saquon Barkley mistake Giants can’t make" Excerpt from artilcle>>>>>> (Barkley is 100% heathy )

"Barkley is the straw that stirs the Giants’ drink.

The risk-reward isn’t worth taking him out of bubble wrap.

Better safe than sorry.

Keep him in mothballs." ………………. I can see that point of view and it DECREASES my concern about whether Andrew plays in Pre-season or not .

NO ONE is concerned about Luck playing in any of these preseason games, the reps that he's missing by not practicing are far more significant.

I get it, but RB cant be compared to QB in  this case.

QBs need the timing with OL, WRs, and RBs. They also need practice "controlling" the offense.  RBs can turn the switch more easily.

Maybe send him out there WITH the bubble wrap?

Put him in one of those blow-up Sumo-wrestler suits.

@HOF19 I am totally with you. I truly believe that if we were at week 1 right now #12 would be playing. I think the Colts are being really smart with him.

If they feel he needs it we may all be shocked to see him play a half in the next 2 weeks  but I think they would do that  only if they feel he really really needs it .

I'm ok with sitting anyone in the preseason.  Reich should know where Luck is at.

Cains 1st catch of the night even freaked me out.  He came down in an odd way.

Slightest difference between an RB and QB in regards to reps.

Freaked me out too, but Cain needs to work through that stuff to trust his body coming back from injury.

I think that's why he is getting so many reps.

I loved that they increased his snap share (from 38% to 46%) vs the Browns. I think I'm more happy he played early.

Assuming the trend continues, I think we'll see a heavy rotation of Xs. I also think we'll see both Xs (Cain from the X, Funch from the slot) on the field at the same time. I love the flexibility of the WR group this year.

Can't wait for Campbell to get back on the field.  :woah: Speed Kills!

Me too. So bummed he's been out for so long.

The first time they go 4 vert with Cain, Campbell, TY, and Hines, I'm going to lose my sheet.

    • We are indeed young.  That said, the team has looked competitive so far.  It's a long shot, but if we avoid making major mistakes, we could be contenders this year.  I'm certainly not going to concede anything without a fight, that's for darn sure.
    • Gee, it couldn't be more clear. We have as good a run blocking line as there is.  Your coach says we are going to Run the Damn Ball. Simple.   Think Seahawks and you will get it.   NOTHING is happening in just a few weeks. We are young.
    • As a colts fan from up north, Im not really familiar with the colts media, can y'all recommend some good reporters to follow on twitter for team news ?
    • I agree I'd like to get Campbell more involved, it's going to come down to Brissett establishing a comfort level with him.  Right now that's the big thing holding the team back, is that Brissett is still getting comfortable with the team's receiving corps.    One of the reasons TY is getting so many balls thrown his way is because TY is one of the holdovers from Brissett's run in 17 and there's some residual comfort factor there.   I think that'll work itself out given time. Brissett's just gonna get comfortable with some of his younger options.   That said, if we're in the playoff hunt at the deadline I do think Ballard is going to make a move for a veteran target.  We don't have a lot of physicality in our receiver corps, especially without Funchess.  With a non-elite QB I see that as a need that will have to be addressed.
    • Jimmy G, he seems to be getting his groove.
