This is just a ton of money....for a WR

Basically,,its 20 mil a year for 3 years, right?

Still,.....He doesn't throw it and you cant hand it off to him.

I don't see how any one receiver is worth this.

It will now be interesting to see what Julio Jones gets at his age

The deal is actually for $100 million, but it’s for a five year extension.   Thomas is being called the NFL’s first $29 mill per year receiver.   His stats say he’s worth it.   Bigger numbers than OBJ, AB, or JJ.

My point is: No receiver is worth that much of your salary cap....

QBs, CBs..edge rushers are more valuable..because they do more on more plays

Thomas is only going to touch the ball 10-15 times a game on a good day

And Thomas isn't better than Julio Jones no matter what the numbers say

There must be a bailout clause where they can cut him after 3 years

It's debatable, and... and then there's that age factor as well...

A younger Hopkins. Thomas is phenominal.
I suspect his % of cap in 3yrs will look reasonable, just as Andrew is reasonable now.

Of course he is under contract for the next SIX years for this amount plus his $1.6M for this season. So just over $16M per.
And only the $35M is fully guaranteed.  This is a Steal.
