Except the recognised metric used is mortality rate... and go find me a "normal" flu season with this volume of death or prolonged widespread outbreak. Even using your death rate it’s about 3 times deadlier then flu.

It’s actually very true a virus with a 0.02% death rate is actually very comparable to the flu. Younger people with out comprised immune systems actually have a greater chance of dying from the flu than this virus.
