The "S" Word

Recommended Posts

I think this team is finally going to ditch the "s" word. That word is soft. With this offensive line of maulers led by Big Q, and a fast, physical defense, I hope they can put that characterization to bed once and for all. While they certainly had a bad game in KC last year, this time appears to be set up well to win in the playoffs. Can't wait for the season to see if it actually translates to the field.

I sure hope so.

Good post.

This is the 2nd year with the coaching staff and scouts in place.

Maybe this is the year they impose their will on other teams and

actually ditch the "soft" label.

Ballard and staff don't bring in soft players so it's a matter of time

before they cross the threshold to a smash mouth team.

Interesting.....I haven't seen the "soft" used in conjunction with this team in a while. Straw man?

I’m pretty sure that anyone’s use of the word “soft” in describing the Colts was dispensed with when Quenten Nelson planted Jadeveon Clowney like a tent peg.

That part. Or when Mack gave Clowney the stiff arm from hell. Not an Undertaker choke slam, but in Football terms of effectiveness, the equivalent. To me, that put Mack on the map as a strong runner, not just with speed but power as well.

We have played one season since it was used. Not exactly a long time and hardly a straw man

2017 certainly didn’t change anything reputation wise.

And we were called soft for probably 10 years before now

Last season went a long way toward smash mouth football

but the Chief's playoff man handling we were given says we

still aren't quite there yet.

Give our young nucleus time to grow into full grown men and

this team will be a beast!
