Interesting point. I just don’t see a coach of a mediocre team getting the award, whether they deserve it or not. Tomlin has done a good job this year, but they’re always looking at teams up at the top. Honestly maybe BB should get it because of all the glue he’s had to use to keep Brady and the offense together this season lol

He's an exclusive rights free agent. All the Colts have to do is tender him, and he'll remain under contract, and no other team can negotiate with him. Assuming a new CBA is done, and it doesn't change the rules for non vested players reaching free agency, McLaughlin won't be an unrestricted free agent until 2023, and he won't be eligible to negotiate a new contract with anyone until 2021.

For me, I think his legacy is tarnished a little.   I'll remember him as a great kicker, but I'll also remember his horrible 2019 season.
