Guess  he's not a great climber?  j/k......  I was waiting for the first person to blame rock climbing for this....    In all seriousness, hope he recovers well, and this will preserve his shot at making the roster for next year....  he was probably PS at best this year, silver linings and all...

How does a offensive lineman tear a ACL when there is no contact in OTA.

That's unfortunate.

ACLs are non contact a lot of the time. Step or cut one time in a weird direction anything could happen.

Feel bad for the young man like mentioned above P.S. at best for him with our depth at Center but to have your chance and development stalled so early really is unfortunate.

Darn it....he looked like a more physical and athletic Boehm.

Irony in that he played every game in college and was never injured.

Non-contact ACL's happen - look at Cain last year.

Reggie tore his ACL with no contact. Just depends the way the leg/knee buckles.

Most ACLs are no contact injuries.

Feel bad he won’t get to practice this year.   I didn’t see him on the 53,  but I wanted him on the practice squad all year long.

Now it’s a life of rehab.....   (sigh...)

Yes.  He was on my 2017 draft My Guys list.  Looks like things haven't gone all that well for him in the NFL.  Hope he finds a home here!

I feel for the kid, didn't even get to play in a pre-season game...not that he would have made the roster but had a great shot at the practice squad.  Heal up and see ya next year.

he was graded out with a 50-50 chance to make an NFL roster (5.0 score).  I'm afraid those odds just took a hit.

Nico Siragusa is a pretty solid replacement so long as he's fully healthy.

He was rated pretty high coming out in 2017 and was the 6th interior lineman taken I believe!?

He's probably a decent backup guard which allows Boehm to slide back to backup center like he was last year.

According to his Wikipedia bio, he was drafted in the 4th round, the 6th guard/8th interior lineman taken in 2017. Probably not a bad pick up.

I do.  I just choose to ignore it.

Some players at some positions are a worse loss s than others.

This one wasnt a huge one.

I actually thought last year seemed better than our previous history.

Well, I tore mine running a perfectly straight line on a track... a lot of time ACL tears are from overuse, or they can actually hide and be frayed for months without any symptoms and suddenly tear, which doctors said was the case in my tear

Maybe he slipped on a drain. It happens.
He was practice squad material, so now he has a year free ride to get the mental part of the game down.
I wish him good luck.
