Alright, I like it. Seems like a crazy good athlete. Apparently did better in 2017 than 2018 when he played as an edge LB'er rather than a DE, playing better in space than with his hand in the dirt.

Depth, Jimmy Johnson did the same thing with the Cowboys years ago. He would enter change guys on the line and at LB and keep his defense fresh and speedy.

Did Kelvin Harmon's arms fall off? He was projected to be a 1st/2nd rounder at one point, now he's being avoided like the plague.

Once again this graph shows that Ballard once some very high-level competition. Every one needs to bring their A-game to training camp. With the addition of Green we seem to have a lot of great inside-outside play all across the LB positions. I don't think we'll be complaining about the linebacking position this season. It was a weak spot for us last year so Ballard went out and fixed it

I know...it was a joke. I just like that Ballard goes after twitchy edge guys who have traits...instead of the bigger DE types that aren't very athletic. Makes me very happy.

When he was a redshirt Freshman MSU played NC State

Definitely looks like they're trying to address the problems we've had in pass coverage on crossing routes and rushing the passer as well.

 

Looking like the udfa's will be where we try to address OL depth.

All I know is if I’m on the defensive side of the ball and not named Hooker or Leonard, I’m very very nervous and prepping my resume just in case

Patriots.com had a draft video of him where he appears to be at least a defensive team captain - even above Sweat and Abram....

 

Also a suerior athlete per his RAS Score.

 

With Ballard, Dodds and Hogan comparing these draft picks to historically successful players it's just a matter of their mental game beyondcthat as to whether they'll fit in.

Yeah I agree. You can see what Ballard was talking about when he got here. There will be competition EVERYWHERE. I'm definitely a fan because he's preached about how we will constantly try to get better from guy #52/53 on the roster all the way up.

 

We're definitely more 'rangy' and athletic along with speed everywhere on D.
