It does not have Tillery as Top 10 at all, that is why I was confused.

But then, each GM has their own board, and are encouraged to have one of their own anyway, so no biggie. The top 100 on any site, should get all first rounders covered.

I copied it to Word right after the combine so it's probably changed a little bit.

It's fine. We are just commenting. It is part of the fun.

As I wrote earlier, thank you for posting it. It helps me to keep track of available players.

Alright, I looked long and hard at the safety position. However, given the fact that we have a pick No. 34 coming around and having players comparable to them at No. 26, I felt that greater value is obtained at No. 34 or No. 59 for the safety position.

For a first round pick, you have to look at the floor, production, tape, versatility, fit, and possible ceiling. Picking a player with good physical traits is something Ballard has done recently. Let me present you Jerry Tillery. Besides running a 4.93 40 at the combine, he seems like a player that has not hit his ceiling yet but has put enough good tape (looked at Stanford and Va. Tech games mainly, even performed decently in Clemson playoff game) to go based on. He does not play too high for a tall guy and that is impressive to me. He does fire off very quickly and has been moved around the line at end as well during his college career showing his versatility. He fits as a guy that can penetrate or be the looper for stunts, that Eberflus loves to run with his DL guys. I cannot say the same thing for Dexter Lawrence, who I also considered. Plus, more was expected from Jerry, given his physical traits, and I feel with the right coaching, there is a ceiling yet to be seen as well.

I remember Marlin Jackson being rated a Round 2 CB and being picked at the end of round 1 at No.28, so I am not going to get carried away by someone being rated 10 spots later when being picked at end of round 1, based on history.

So, with the 26th pick of the NFL draft, the Indianapolis Colts select a Notre Dame guy for the second year in a row in Round 1:

Jerry Tillery, DT, Notre Dame

@w87r and The New York Giants are on the clock.

HEADS UP.

We will roll right into Round 2 following the 32 pick.  All round two stuff will go here. Please note, I have to update the round two selection order yet with the last two trades, haven’t been able to do that yet.  But I’ll do that as soon as I get home tonight so it’ll be ready for tomorrow.
