FA Day 1 (officially starts @4pm)

Steeler fans are probably losing their minds right now. The Browns and Ravens are going crazy in FA while they're losing their star players.

Steelers need to rebuild.

I don't think this spending spree that the Browns are on will be good for them in the long run.  I know they are everyone's favorites right now because they are "winning the offseason"

But the Jags won the offseason like 3 years in a row and it got them into the playoffs once.  And the rest of the time they were terrible.

That says more about the offensive linemen then it does about Bell. If I messed with people's personal belongings at work I would be subject to discipline.

But your poi t is valid even if I don't agree. There were problems in that pit locked room so staying clear might be smart.

I love that deal. I would have done that even with the Colts...

The Chemistry thing is why I don't usually drool over super productive guys who are a locker room cancer often from a losing team who's locker room has imploded.

Antonio Brown

OBJ

Bell

It's basically like giving them 18 million dollars to divide your locker room.

There is a reason that the Giants are getting rid of a super star player in the prime of his career!!!!  But fans can't see that, they can only see all the stats he puts up.

Brown very well could be  locker room cancer. Not sure about Bell.

OBJ seems like the opposite if we believe Geoff Schwartz and Dan Duggan (Giants beat writer) at least. They say he was loved in the locker room.

Man its getting very disappointing to see all the best FAs going off the board and all we have to show for it is Devin Funchess. Seriously Devin Funchess? We should have made a play for Dee Ford and Landon Collins. I know you don't build a team through free agency but man nothing wrong with adding a few much needed pieces. Especially with 100 Mil to spend. Get Luck some pieces so we can go out and compete with NE and KC.

You wouldn’t happen to be friends with Gus would you?

Agreed on the Browns.

As for the Jags, let me ask you. Do their failures point to the FAs they've added, or to the poor QB they had drafted? They've had some of the worst QB play and still made it to the AFC Championship game, mainly due to the addition of their FAs.

Isn't that the guy that dropped the wide open touchdown against the Colts?

I didn’t realize Desir was making such little money. He deserves a big raise and if Ballard won’t offer it I don’t blame him for moving on.

Preserve the shutout.

If the browns don’t win a SB in the next few years their spending spree will kill that team. They are clearly in the win or know mind set.

I think it's sort of both.

You have to build up the core of your team through the draft and then you can plug holes in FA.

They didn't do that job in the right order.  They went nuts while ignoring a fatal flaw in their team.

I think it's a good idea now to try and fix that fatal flaw with Foles, but it would have been better if they would have fixed the fatal flaw years ago.

How? They have Mayfield on cheap contract for 4 more years. They still have about 50M in cap space.

Rams are the team that has been going all in, trading far more picks while having far less assets to being with and less cap space too.

Brissett watch. Tyrod Taylor was one of the players linked to Miami. Miami is still looking for a starting QB. Not many options left.

I was thinking the same thing.  I can see this happening.  There was talk earlier about Brissett to Miami then it cooled.  Like you said.  Not many options left.

Lol There’s a lot of options left on draft day!

Brissett’ market value is higher with you and the usual suspects on the forum, compared to the league’s. Give it a rest, he’ll be on the roster in 2019.

People need to stop with this locker room chemistry crap, because it doesn't prove anything. If it did, then why aren't we in the SB every year? Ballard needs to bring in the good players, and stop wishing these 2nd and 3rd tier players that he signs are going to get us to the SB.

This is interesting. If the colts could get him at ten million we could have Hilton, funchess, William with Cain as the fourth receiver. I wonder if Reich would pull the trigger.

We play three CB a lot with Kenny Moore playing a lot of a hybrid linebacker. This was very important. Now let’s bring back Geathers.

I could see the numbers being a little eye popping at first, but we have money to play with until we re-sign our own guys and Ballard's all about rewarding our own.

I don't know if you guys are watching Kyler Murray's pro-day session...

I know it's set up to make him look good, but Murray is looking really good throwing the ball...
