If anything, the colts are in perfect position when it comes to bell. He is gonna get a similar contract no matter where he goes at this point so now it comes down to team. The bears imo would be the only competition. The texans line is a mess, the jets and bills are not beating the pats, and the ravens wanna run Jackson and their college like offense

It's been pretty quiet on the tyrell Williams front. Has anybody heard anything.

I doubt we're in the mix with the Funchess signing but it's not out of the realm of possibility. Especially if the price is reasonable.

That ring won’t pay for your retirement, we’ve seen many broke athletes auction theirs off. I will never criticize someone for doing what’s right for their family/future. NFL is crazy, it can all end in one play.

they went broke due to poor money management.

that said, I'm all for players making as much money as they can.

He has been overhyped a bit on this forum.

He will still get paid and likely will be away from the toxic environment in Pitt. He will

be fine

That may be true.  But is the upside not there? If Funchess gets 10m+ wouldn't a more athletic version be worth it?

I could be wrong I don't watch a ton of chargers.

Sometimes pissing off your boss/company before having a better paying gig lined up will do that to ya

I agree on players getting what they can. It's the teams who are dumb who keep dishing it out. As a business owner I'm not paying a guy 15 an hour with 10 an hour skill set. IMO I think all professional sports pay is outrageous

Sorry,  you lost me.

You can't imagine they are?     Who are we talking about?

You're saying you think Glowinski is now unhappy with his deal?

I know a lot of you have asked about Denver’s Shaquil Barrett as a possible option for the Colts. Checked into him and it sounds like the Colts view him as more of a 3-4 OLB. Doesn’t seem likely to land here.

Very true.

To be honest I wouldn't mind both. I know everyone here seems to want to draft a wr. But it would be nice to go into the draft with minimsl need do we can draft best pick available.

I am intrigued by Funches.Dude is huge. He's the size colts fans have been crying about for years. Not sure I like the pay but curious to see if he can flourish under a new system, team and culture.

I watched a couple chargers games and honestly didn't notice him at all....and he was the reason I tuned in.  Granted, that's a small sample size.

Couple people ask him if there's any other new players we are looking at and he goes on to say nothing concrete enough to report.  So wonder who those players are

It really isn’t. Having Hilton, funchess, and Williams with Cain as your fourth would be very strong. It’s interesting how quiet it has been for him. Maybe he isnt getting the cash he thought.

Bashaud Breeland still out there.  That's another possible option to replace Desir.

Must be nice to be average for your career, have one good year (contract year) then cash in on the big bucks. Wish my job worked like that lol

Don't think Ballard would be afraid to bring him in short term at age 30, if he could get him at the right price, and thought he could help, neither of which we know

CB are starting to get signed and numbers are not crazy. That might be good news to resign Desir.

SInce he isn’t signed yet I bet no one is offering him a crazy long term deal. At his age he might be willing to sign a two or three year deal. There was a tweet the colts contacted his agent.

I think Houston is at a age also where he probably wants to go to a winner.

He was never getting more than a 2-3 yr deal.  Most players never get more than a 3 yr deal....guaranteed anyway.

Wow. I really love what the browns are doing. I didn’t follow if they signed any big guys yesterday but they seem to be doing things the right way.

No way. They would’ve had to give up numerous draft picks. Browns trying to compete for a title now even with a very young QB?

Hopefully they take over that division.  Unlike the Steelers, we might be able to beat them.

    • I had us 9-7 just based on guessing/hoping/predicting Luck would be healthy and play great. I was right but a lucky guess, I guess  . I thought that would get us a 6th seed. We won 10 games which got us in.
    • For the first time in a while, I am impressed with the Colts development of players. If this current trend continues, a lot of opinions will change.
    • I had us going 10-6 and winning the AFC South. I knew with Luck back we'd be at minimum .500, and I thought by adding Nelson, Ebron, and Cain, our O would be pretty decent, and enough to take the South. We were 10-6, but didn't win the South.  I wasn't counting on our D being as good, so I guess they overachieved. Honestly I'm still not sold on our D. This year will be a much bigger test.
    • There appears to be a possibility that the Pacers acquire 31-year-old Eric Gordon, the shooting guard for the Rockets.   Houston wants Jimmy Butler but they don't have cap space to sign him. The 76ers would have to sign Jimmy and trade him to Houston. But Houston cant send the 76ers matching salaries because Philadelphia already has to sign Tobias Harris, JJ Reddick and soon Embid and Ben Simmons..   So the 76ers and Houston have to find a third team who could acquire some salary. In the theory of this trade: That team would be the Pacers who would take the final year of Eric Gordon's contract at $15 mil   Obviously, Gordon is an IU grad and Indianapolis native. He comes off the Houston bench behind Chris Paul and James Harden. 16.2 per game last year and 16.7 for his 11-year career..   Forgetting how crazy Houston's locker room would be with Paul, Harden and Butler, is there a downside to acquiring Gordon, who would start until Oladipo returns? We might have to give up next year's No.1 pick.
    • Here is a serious question, does anyone want to win the NL Central? I mean seriously  . We are winning it but just give games away like the Brewers and Cards do as well.
