Chase Winowich

Was hoping Brian Burns would of been available for us in the first round but after this combine its looking like Burns will be gone (t15).  Now after watching Chase’s performance this weekend I would add him to our Round 2 draft board.

As a Michigan fan, I would be ecstatic if the Colts drafted Winovich.  He's an excellent DE, like @MikeCurtis stated he's not going to be a 10+ sack a season guy but he is an excellent all around DE who is good against the run, good at applying pressure on the QB and give 100% every play all game long.  Michigan's D was one of the top in the nation and Chase was a big reason why.  If the Colts used pick 36 on him that may be a bit early but I don't think will last to pick 59.

I see him as a mid level round 3 pick to a mid 4

He was able to get pressure, but not able to get a decent amount of sacks.

(He typically didnt get the double team blocks like others on the

Michigan DL did)

He is also a bit shorter than you would like as well

The guy IS a football player, that gives 100% effort every play

(Seems like a Ballard guy)

There is a little bit of me, that wonders how he would do as a SAM

Either way..... Go BUCKS  :)

Maybe, but I doubt he falls that far.

He sounds a bit like J. Simon, who was released.

Sounds like Ninkovich and John Simon, and yep, he is most likely a Patriot at end of Round 2 if he lasts till then. I am not sure if the Colts draft him because of our investment in Tyquan Lewis and Turay, who they probably expect to make big jump in minutes and improvements in year 2. He is excellent vs the run, good football IQ and motor but has limited pass rush moves and bend around the edge.
