Recommended Posts

I let me tickets go when I moved to Kentucky in 2015. I moved back to Indy on June 1st 2018 and just bought two seats yesterday

Judging by where those seats are...maybe it was a reference to using one of these:

Just playing...I like it up in the 600s. Can see everything going on.

Midfield, very nice. Were you able to get in the first 10 rows?

I agree. We were season tix holders from 1996 and gave them up for the 2018 season. We sat in the 235 section once we moved over to the new place from the dome and while those seats were pretty decent, I sat up near the top of the stadium this season for a game and wow, you could really see the game unfolding. Formations and defensive alignments and route running. It was quite neat. I’d almost rather sit up there if I’d ever renew tix again.

There's really not a bad seat in that place...even as big as it is. I mean I won't buy tix high up in the 620s (end zone areas), but I would gladly sit there if someone offered it.

There is a reason the press and coordinators sit up high... I have never understood spending the most money to sit so low you can barely see the field. I sat on the 50 yard line in the 600 section for a playoff game several years back and it was the rowdiest and most exciting section I'd ever been in. Awesome experience and a view like none other. I kept my head straight the whole game and moved my eyes a few centimeters.

You sold em in 2015 and got em back in 2018?

You basically picked the best time to leave and the best time to come back haha

I was looking at the season ticket website.  I did see a few tickets that I believe were in that section that showed the price as $750.  Is that a price for the season or a price per game or what?

Surely that’s for the entire season. :woah:

For you season ticket holders, maybe you can clarify. I looked at season tickets going into 2018, and it was about $900 per ticket. So it would be about $1800 for 2 tickets for the entire season. Is that how it works?

That's what I was thinking but it sounds like a pretty good deal.  If you go to all 10 games (website said it was for 10 games) that's $75 a game which seems pretty cheap for an NFL game.

It's great up there. That's where I was for the KC playoff game years back...and it was very rowdy. I remember these three *Chiefs fans a couple rows in front of us talking so much smack early in the game...to everyon. And then the comeback happened. Once they said Bowe was OOB...they tried to scurry out...but it was on at that point. Colts fans are pretty reserved...but they were still throwing food and beer at them. If it was another city and their fans...those three probably aren't so lucky.

It's not bad...as long as you don't care about resell value. The secondary market has been in the toilet in recent years...which is great for people who purchase them that way (like myself)...but not so great for people who can't make every game and want to recoup some value.

Though I think with Luck healthy and Reich here...that will start to change.

Still, there is a considerable amount of value to having your tickets already in hand and in a section you want to sit in. The only thing I don't like is that they force people to buy those preseason games.

310 here

I sat there (or 311...can't remember which one) this past season for the JAC game. TBH, I like the 300s the best I think. It's a perfect mix of distance for me...and I love that the sections are so small...much cozier.

I got to sit in 212 for the NYG game. My sister-in-law was running a silent auction to raise money for the elementary school...and they had a four pack of seats in 212 row 6 for the NYG game. The min bid was $500 for all four...great deal based on the face value...but apparently no one bit at even that much. So she offered to them to me for $250 total. This was several weeks before that game...but we all knew that game was going to be big (I guess casual fans did not).

By the time the game rolled around, Stubhub had similar seats in that section for $400+ dollars. I could have sold a pair...which would have paid for parking, several beers at the game and Harry and Izzy's after the game...AND still had money left over. But I did the "right thing" and took some family members instead.

Yeah, it’s not bad. Especially if the Colts are playing well, individual tickets will skyrocket. I personally buy nosebleeds that are the cheapest then hangout in the Budlight party zone haha

I was at that game as well  but I have never had season tickets. I have been to around 50 games in my lifetime though since 1984. That was the only time I ever seen the Pats and that was a classic comeback win in 2009. Reggie hauls it in for the 35-34 win. That was the loudest I have ever heard LOS. Now the RCA Dome was always loud. I attended the Cowboys game back in 1999 and that place was rocking when Marvin burned Deion another win. I was Mr. Texans and Jaguars for years as in, I would always go to those games every year because tickets were cheap to those games every year :scoregood:. We never lost to the Texans when I went. Then it would be St Elmo time after those games :lombardi:

Yep IMO the best in the house for all the reasons you claimed.

We were here season ticket holders for yrs in the 400s but got discouraged with Pagano so we sold our rights to 8 tickets.

I told old my wife that I was ok to do that IF when we got back in we were getting GREAT seats. Not just good ones great seats

I bought a half season from a great site and was able to negotiate to get all the division games and 1 preseason game.  Which is perfect.   Next yr if we like these we may buy the full ST package

    • Man I sure hope not.   He is average...at best.  I think below.   Nothing he has ever shown me has led to me to think otherwise.
    • Was just listening to Dan Dakich.  He brought up the idea that I did earlier.  That this entire ankle/leg issue could be a made up thing just as a way out.   Remember, he was fine after the season ended.  Zero mention of a leg issue . Then he went to Europe, got married, and came back with a 'calf'.    Huh?   Did he stumble and hurt himself walking to the altar?   And everyone who has seen him train this year?  Says he looks fine.  No sign of an injury.  Doctors couldn't figure it out.  Why?  No injury?     Went through those drills last week, looked great, and then he says that he thought it might be his last time on the Lucas Oil stadium field.   Makes zero sense.  Other than this has been in his mind for quite a while.
    • It's not nearly as bad, or as big of deal as you are making it out to be. Even in the stories I have seen and read today it's not getting that much attention.  The Colts not going after the money they could get back is what's getting the press.    The booing won't have any effect on FAs; If anything, the absence of an elite QB will be a bigger issue when it comes to attracting FAs.
    • Yeah...I shouldn't have said active. I meant games he has appeared in.   But if you just look at active games...he will have played in more than half...which is still pretty incredible for a guy drafted into the situation he was.
    • I do agree with Jimmy our owner too. Andrew isn't really being selfish when you remember all the millions of dollars he leaving on the table.   If you're heart's not in the game anymore because your body keeps betraying you, I could see why turning the page to something else seems appealing to Luck. You watch his press conference & can't help but feel for the guy & what he's endured since he first got here in 2012. He raves about Mathis, Wayne, Hilton, Adam V. The guy doesn't have a malicious bone in his body man. He loves INDY & her diehard fans. The guy is genuinely broken up emotionally over this decision man. He didn't reach it lightly at all.    The funny thing about rage & anger is this: It's only a burden to those who carry it & refuse to release it & let it go over time. Fans have a right to be upset just remember that no one was hoodwinked, swindled, or lied to here. The situation was abrupt, unexpected, even awkward perhaps, but I honestly don't think this news was withheld on purpose by anybody inside the Colts organization. Life teaches us to adapt all the time. The only constant is change & our organization will handle this change with professionalism, dignity, & a sense of renewed purpose like we always do.
