Rams (+2 1/2) vs. New England (2-3-19)

Recommended Posts

I feel bad for the rams defense. They’ve had to play hard while the offense has sucked. Wonder what the rams back up QB looks like?

Rams will punt after 3 plays and then Brady will just run the clock out. Probably get MVP in the process.

Patriots offense has been inept all night. But when the chips are on the table, Brady puts together a drive

Before the play: Romo says:  "they're got to call something the Pats havent seen today!!

After the play)  They've run that 3 or 4 times and it finally worked!!!

You just knew the way this game was going that never would have a drive like that. I just hate watching Belichick dismantle other teams. It's ridiculous that they won the best offenses in the league is sitting on 3 right now. The only hope if this offense turns on

Wow.. finally a screen?

But Sean McVay is so innovative! I hear the Bengals are considering hiring his "hold me back" coach to be the Head Coach (jk :) )...

We struck gold last year with Nick Foles I hope that the magic doesn't run out the teams that play the Patriots

Stupid rams. Why did they quit running. They were just chucking the ball up.

Defenseless receiver?

NVM

That must be a regular season rule..not a playoff rule

Yeah, this one's over.

Time for Brady to just empty the clock out.

You are 1-for-17

Obvious pass interference..not called..

I guess you can hold the receiver's arm

I’m getting so sick of this league. The officiating is so inconsistent from week to week.

Will it be a flag at this week? Dunno, depends on how the refs feel today.

Started playing like there were 10 seconds left on the clock.

The only good thing is they should get it back if they can hold NE deep here.

Bad bad SB. Both teams played horrible on offense. NE wasn’t much better then the Rams.

    • Thoughts on drafting a WR in the 1st round:   1. The most recent stat regarding T.Y. missing games and our inability to win in those games (0-7 in games T.Y. has missed) has highlighted the importance of the WR position.   2. Without T.Y. (our only deep threat) the opposing teams have stacked the box and played close to the LOS, taking away our short passing game and our run game.  (I am aware that JB is also to blame for the short passing game).   3. Opposing teams have stacked the boxes and have sent more blitzes, causing more difficulties for out O-lineman. We've had to keep our RBs and TE's in to help out with the blitz pick-ups, taking them out of our passing game too.   4. Without T.Y., it's been difficult to get first downs consistently, because we do not have another WR that can get open fast enough, and on a consistent basis, with reliable hands. This has put a lot of pressure on the offense, and in-turn, the defense has been on the field more.   I know that many people will say that building the trenches is more important. I agree, especially on defense. But, we have seen the negative impact of not having a player like T.Y. in the lineup has had on the offense, including the O-line. They appear to not be able to run block or pass block because of how teams can play against us without a true deep threat, or reliable pass-catcher.
    • I think Parris will be great if he stays healthy next year. But Mclaurin was nfl ready and he could of helped immediately. It’s hard to know if Parris hadn’t had the hamstring in camp and had started the season on good footing what might of happened. We will find out soon if Funchess was the wrong signing. He never got a chance.
    • "Get a grip of all of the doom and gloom". I don't know how you make an honest assessment of where this team is and not think "oh god, I hope we don't turn into a Titans-esq squad". It's great that they can sort of run and sort of stop the run, but that's not winning anything meaningful now or in the future.  Going from Super Bowl potential, to waiting out a 7-9 to 9-7 type season- at least for people who'd like to see the Colts win another Super Bowl, isn't awesome.
