FirsTime's Third Mock Off-Season 2019

Recommended Posts

I'm making another. I really enjoy doing these a lot and I'm very depressed since there wont be colts football for another eight months. If anyone has a problem with me doing so many please tell me and I can slow down.

Cap Space roughly 122M

Resign:

Vinny 1 year/3M

Pierre Desir 2 years/9M

Clayton Geathers 2 years/8M

Mark Glowinski - 4 years/14.4M

Zach Pascal - 1 year/900k

Matthais Farley - 1 year/1M

Evan Boehm - 2 years/2.8M

Eric Swoope - 1 year/750k

Ryan Hewitt - 1 year/850k

Cap Space Roughly 100M

Free Agents:

Trey Flowers - 5 years/76M - 30M the first year front loading hard so we have more money to sign our own guys in the future. We need a pass rusher bad and we got the money. Also a great run stopper. He has got the best chance of the pass rushers to hit free agency (hopefully, Lawrence wants out of Dallas); therefore, this pick is going to be very repetitive.

Tre Boston - 3 years/9.9M -Would be a great backup behind Hooker also he is big enough to get in the box and play a coverage line-backer if need be.

Cap Space: 66M

Trade:

We trade our third round pick and Mo Ali-Cox for Cooper Kupp (6'2" 208lbs). He is coming off IR (ACL Tear in November) so we can get him for cheap (hopefully). He was on pace for over 1,000 yard last season before he got injured. He is third on the Rams depth chart behind Robert Woods and Brandin Cooks.

Draft:

R1P26 - Dexter Lawrence DT, Clemson - A big Nose Tackle that can eat up double teams and stop the run very well

R2P2 - Chris Lindstorm OG, Boston College - An athletic flexible guard who is good at everyone but great at nothing yet.

R2P26 - Amani Oruwariye CB, Penn State - A quick big body CB with ball skills. Our zone should be a good fit for him.

R4P26 - David Stills WR, West Virginia - good size to go well with TY and fantastic hands and a good redzone threat (at least in college)

R4P33 - Trevon Coney LB, Notre Dame - A tackling machine

R5P26 - Amani Bledsoe DT, Oklahoma - Dont know really anything about him but I like his name (throwing darts)

R6P26 - Jazz Ferguson WR, Northwestern State - Another Big wideout with some great hands and jump ball ability and can get downfield

R7P26 - Qadree Ollison RB, Pittsburgh - A big RB to get across that one yard line when it matters

Colts Roster:

QB - Luck, Brissett

RB - Mack, Hines, Wilsin, Ollison

WR - Hilton, Stills, Ferguson

TE - Ebron, Swoope

LT - Castonzo, Clark

LG - BigQ,

C - Kelly, Boehm

RG - Glowinski, Lindstorm

RT - Smith, Haeg

TE - Doyle, Hewitt

WR - Kupp, Cain, Pascal

Edge - Sheard, Turray, Muhammad

NT  - Lawrence, Stewart

UT - Autry, Ridgeway, Bledsoe

Edge - Flowers, Lewis

WLB - Leonard, Adams

ILB - Walker, Coney

SAM - Franklin

CB - Moore, Oruwariye, Hairston

FS - Hooker, Boston, Odum

SS - Geathers, Farley

CB - Desir, Wilson

P - Sanchez

K - Vinny

LS - Boehm

I'm not sure the rams would even think about that trade.  Why take a guard when you resign glow and receiver is a bigger need?  Sorry for being so harsh but I do like Lawrence, Oruwariye, and the FA.

I would rather draft or sign a fa OT. We need more depth there than at OG. IMO

Maybe we could try to get S.Richardson (DT) and draft a DE with the first pick and get another DT for depth/development in the later rounds.

Kupp wont happen even though he would be a nice addition, I think there will be better WR options then Stills just personally

Boston won’t sign here after his last visit to Indy, and Kupp is the rams most reliable target and their main slot weapon. Their offense took a major mid season dip when he got hurt. They won’t trade him.

    • Brissett is a bad QB. He takes too long to throw the ball because he's scared to make a mistake. Won't throw deep. Won't scramble. Poor field vision. Makes an elite O-Line average at pass-blocking. Has regressed since teams have tape on him. Has trouble putting up any sort of yards or points unless we run for 100+ yards per game. Can't carry the team or lead it to victory. He's easily replaceable. Potential all but gone. He's done like dinner. Not even fun to watch.   I don't care who we draft at QB, anything is better than what we currently have. At least a new QB will have potential and a new skillset. There will be some hope. We're in a horrible spot right now, and another year of Brissett would drop attendance faster than a skydiver from an airplane. I certainly can't go through another year of this.   You at least have to give the illusion of hope to draw me in. A new QB does that. With Brissett, there is none.
    • It’s all good crazy coLt we are both colts fans and rooting for the same team. I don’t wanna argue with a colts fan. I will save it for a pats fan or Texans fan. I just wanted to defend why I was saying what I was saying. It hits a nerve to me when people criticize other people’s colts related threads no matter how monotonous it’s become, even if that’s not how you meant it.  Have a merry Christmas
    • Dude, u call this bashing?  I barely said anything about the guy and merely asked the question if it was him or coaching. How is that bashing?  And by you complaining that this thread was started you basically said that this thread is unwelcome. Am I losing my mind here people or what??  Again im not sure it’s brissett that’s why I’m asking. There is anecdotal evidence it could be him but I’m not so sure. It could be other teams are dialing more pressure near the end of the games or we are running too much and getting stuffed to keep the clock running. I’m not trying to argue here I’m just basically defending what I wrote.
    • I'd want Ron Rivera but I think he'll end up somewhere in the NFL or a big college HC position.
    • As a connoisseur, I appreciate the weed jokes.  You guys can keep your X-Files & tinfoil though.  I know what I saw on the sideline and heard what came out of 56th street the following week...  But why don't you geniuses answer my questions?   Would Frank have put Luck back into the Steelers game if he said he wanted to go back in?  They never took JB's helmet until after halftime.  Never took him to the back for a more thorough examination.  Just let him stand there with his helmet & watch...  Also would Frank have let Luck take all the reps the next week but then bench him at the last moment and roll with a backup with such minimal preparation?     If your answer is yes to either then you're all smoking crack or crystal meth.  And I don't want any of either.  Though I hear tinfoil could be used with either.  .  So enjoy.  I'll stick with the weed and I'll be waiting for those answers.
