Those pesky Patriots's are not going away easily!

Leave it to the Patriots to be a factor in the end as the status quo.

Just when you think that they are done ,they wont go down easily. I still think that KC has the stuff to beat them, but with New England's game planning, you never know. I just hope their mystic  won't  get inside of KC's head.

They never do. You have to play 60 minutes of football to beat them and cannot relax till the clock strikes 0:00, that is how they are taught and that is how the Giants beat them in 2 SBs.

2 SBs came down to a Hail Mary, one vs the Giants and one vs the Eagles, another was a long 4th down pass in 2007 with a sack on 2nd or 3rd down (don't remember exactly) on the last drive on Brady. Even against the Broncos, losing 18-20 in 2015, it came down to a goal line play for the 2 pt. conversion and INT by Bradley Roby.

You have to be prepared for a 60 minute fight. Jaguars fought for 52 minutes and played not to lose. Doug Pederson did not with Foles, kept the foot on the gas pedal and it showed.

Hey, I had them going to the Super Bowl from the start of the season (and they're heavy favorites to go back next year too), so it's up to the Chiefs to hopefully prove me wrong.

100% agree.. but the Giants got damn lucky in 2007..

Brady never feels he can’t come back see Falcons 25 points and Seahawks 10 points in 4th quarter.

That is why it was impressive to me that the Ravens beat the Patriots not once but twice in Foxboro, both times by double digits. Disrupting the Patriots' OL is the number one way to have a chance to beat Brady. Otherwise, you are hoping for a prayer in a shootout and an unanswered prayer it ends up, most of the time!!!

Foles became the first QB other than Peyton to beat Brady in a game where Brady scored 30 plus points in a playoff game. That is how rare it is to expect to beat Brady in a shootout.

The sad thing is we should have won the other two games we lost. We had the Lee Evans drop that would have won the game, followed by the Cundiff miss. Then we were up by 14, when Belichick pulled those funky formations out of his dirty playbook.

I wish you would've won in 2014, you had them beat up 28-14. Ravens would've been here for the AFC Title Game.

That missed FG was weird to see.. and I think it was hilarious how Harbough was screaming those formations were illegal then went and tried use them the next year lol..

that said the Ravens at eprobabky the only team not to pee themselves inside the Razor on a regular basis.

Yep, that would have been great for sure. That 2011 game almost killed me , because I think we would have hammered the Giants. Lee Evans is an eternal bum in Baltimore. Flacco played really well against the Patriots in NE.

Harbaugh was not prepared for those formations much as he didn’t adjust the offense in the Chargers game. He is a very good coach, but has some blind spots like clock management , and picking bad offensive coordinators like Cameron, Tressman, and Morningweig. The two good picks were Caldwell and Kubiak.

2011 was the worst. We were better than them that year. The 2012 team that beat them and won the SB, was not as good as the 2011 team, in my opinion. That loss was a dark time.

That is odd how things work out sometimes. Like with us, 2005 was probably the better team but we won the SB in 2006.

Yes, probably true. Your 2009 team should have been 16-0, and won it all. Like the 1968 Colts , a lost ring. Every city has them.

Yeah when I listed my Top 4 favorite seasons in Indy Colts history (1984-2018), I had:

1. 2006 (won SB, won at Baltimore, win against Pats, beat Bears).

2. 1995 (made AFC Title Game) Harbaugh magic.

3. 2004 (made Divisional Round) Peyton 49 TD's.

4. This season 2018 (made Divisional Round), way overachieved.

-I left off 2005 and 2009 because in 2005 that was real disappointing to lose to Pitt the way we did in the Divisional Round. Also to quit on a perfect season ruined 2009 for me because as we also lost in the SB.

Patriots are winning it this year, if not this year then guaranteed next year. Belichick gets his 6th in the same stadium and same age that Saban got his. Brady will get one before he retires, his contract is up next year and will be the oldest winning SB QB. Since the 1970's, one team has won three SBs each season. Pats are the only ones capable.

Nothing would really surprise me on Sunday night. I can see just about any result playing out... Chiefs winning easily, Patriots winning easily, or a hard-fought, tooth-and-nail kind of game. They've been very up-and-down for most of the year and at this point it feels like any outcome is just as probable as any other.

I was 13 years old when the Patriots defied the odds to make it to SB 20, where they'd get crushed in historic fashion by the '85 Bears. They were a mediocre team for a couple of seasons after that, and then from '89-'93 they were the worst team in football. They won 19 games in 6 years. So, an average of just over 3 wins per season.

It got better in '94, and hiring Parcells and drafting Bledsoe got them out of the doldrums. Then Parcells left, and the team steadily regressed over three seasons with Pete Carroll. In steps Belichick, and they go 5-11 in his first season. Then, early in '01, Mo Lewis hits Bledsoe and the skinny kid from Michigan took over.

I'm not doing this to give you guys a history lesson you don't want! My only point is that if you find Patriots fans to be overbearing, try to remember where we came from. What we came from. Aside from reaching one Super Bowl where they were handed the worst beat-down in the history of the game at that point, the franchise was basically a barroom punchline.

I have - most thoroughly, and unapologetically - enjoyed the last 18 seasons. At some point Brady will be gone and Belichick will be gone, and it won't be like this anymore. We're closer to that than we are to where it all began. So hang in there, haha...

@GoPats. Not going to quote you, to save space, but I said the exact same thing to my husband last night.  I really won't be surprised with anything in this game.

I hope it's a good game, and no offense to you, I hope it's a KC win.

Us non Patriots fans are tired of NE Super Bowls.

Is that what you meant to say?

Brady's 6 will have a new meaning if he does. Like Phil Jackson, like Michael Jordan, having that many rings in a team sport in the current era will put you on a different level.

Yes go look. Each decade since 1970 a team has won at least 3: the steelers, 49ers, cowboys, patriots, and patriots again for 2010s if they win.

I don't mean to be a troll here, but when you look at the sum of their accomplishments (Brady and Belichick), it's far-and-above anything we've seen in the NFL, and on-par with the greatest dynasties in sports (all-time).

Division titles, championship game appearances, Super Bowl appearances...

It's been an unprecedented era of excellence, and one that will likely never be duplicated in the NFL.

No doubt, it is unprecedented. The socialist inside people want a more even distribution of SBs but I guess if you are the fan of the team winning multiple SBs, the capitalist in you takes over, lol. :)

In case you are being serious the Patriot success is the result of socialist principals which allow them due to superior coaching and administration to win year after year. The draft and the salary cap are socialistic. A Capitalist approach would be one in which the draft and the salary cap would be eliminated. In that scenario coaching and administration would take a back seat to Money "what can you give me" (i.e. nice weather).  In that case teams in richer markets would more than likely control the talent and wins as we see in baseball. Just an FYI.

Not socialist or capitalist w.r.t the cap, socialist or capitalist w.r.t fandom from casual fans, that is what I meant. Most casual fans don't even care to watch the SB if it is the same old, same old Patriots in the SB. The non-football fans, they are just watching it for the commericals and party. :)

It is more remarkable that they have done this in the salary cap era, no doubt about that.
