Colts @ Chiefs 2019 AFC Divisional Round Playoff Game Thread

Recommended Posts

They already took our run game away by getting the lead. This is over. Our great oline looks like a bunch of high school kids.

Yeah, this game is going to be a real uphill climb. Luck doesn't look good, go from there..

Already Luck is guiding the ball.

Both those tips are on him because he is NOT THROWING IT.

I said it last week.  Say it again.

He only seems to throw it when he is on the move.  In the pocket he is throwing it like a girl.

He is NOT confident right now.

So much talk about how bad the Chiefs D was. They've heard it and are looking to make a statement.

Ant get any worse of a start. They score here in rheee conditions and it might be near impossible to overcome.

This game could b over early.  I think Chiefs D is responding to all the negative press

And being 0 and 4 vs Colts.

A run game isn’t gone when down 7-0

Defensive hands to the face right in front of an official. Pass interference.

We are screwed guys. Home field advantage is in full force today.

It's only 7-0... you don't just stop running.

Stop being so hyperbolic.

Far from over.  Let's start with a stop on D and build some confidence.

We are proving we are still a soft dome team that can’t play in weather.

Fortunately I got a little bit of a head start on the Scotch.  We're in for a rough one here.

Looked to me like that could have been pass interference

Surprised that was allowed.

We need to see if they'll allow our boys to grab like that

Goes without saying they have to get a stop here. KC won't go conservative if they score again as the Colts semi-did last week vs Houston.

So why bother watching the rest of the game?

Come on... this is getting old. We go behind early in ANY game and the same old crowd are pulling down the sky.

just being honest cant let you being a fan block reality .   we havent faced that many good teams on our winning streak .  our offense has been shaky getting shut out the whole second half last week and jax shutting us out .   of course ill watch the whole game either way and support the team i always do that doesnt mean only positive .     we will be better next year any way

Perhaps you should find a safe space for a good cry.

1st quarter isn't even half over

Then why did we pass 3 times on that last drive.

Illegal hands to the face missed

Well we had Smith with holding it wasn’t called so I’m not blaming calls yet, they’ve missed plenty already.

OL is doing fine, quit overreacting!!!

Luck is not in rhythm yet, can’t start every game on fire. The D needs to keep us in the game till Luck finds his rhythm

Always thought the defense would roll over. But I was worried that the offense would come out slow, or be inconsistent, like always. They have to play four quarters with the Chiefs, and hat's not looking like it's going to happen.

And compare Lucks throwing motion to Mahomes now.  Mahomes is throwing the ball like Aaron Rodgers.  Fully confident.  Like a whip.

If Luck continues to play this way we are doomed.

Luck in the second half of last week did the same but luckily we held on.  Should have been 45-7 last week.

Calm down guys, the Kansas City Chokers will play bad in the 2nd half, it's what they do...

This isn’t the same chiefs team

That was a blatant PI. But I’ve never seen a QB get so many passes deflected at the line of scrimmage. It’s infuriating

I’m not so sure about that. Mahommes knows what’s at stake. He knows Luck. He won’t be backing off...

    • Due diligence.  Kick the tires on anything you can and maybe you catch lightning in a bottle.
    • Mack got $90M gtd...I can't see Clowney getting close to that. I think it would probably be ~$60-65M...which is what Lawrence and Clark both got...and maybe not even that much.    It's not my money...but I would do it. The Colts have the money...and I don't think the Colts will find a better player to add to the team in FA...Clowney is a 3x consecutive Pro Bowler with double digit sack upside...heading into his prime...whose skill sets fits perfectly into a position where they have a long-term need.    To put it another way...I would much rather give Clowney a deal and add him to this team to try and win a Super Bowl...than spend that cash on extending guys 1-2 years before they are due. The Colts have a nice 3-4 year window where they can be a lot more aggressive.   Signing someone like Clowney will make a dent...but it won't hurt them long-term. There is a very good chance this team will have left upwards of $80M on the table over this four-year period. Right now, they have to spend $44M in cash next offseason just to get 89% (using OTC and estimating a $10M increase for the salary cap). They will make that up for sure (in FA and extensions)...but they have the flexibility to commit to a player like Clowney. I get being lean during those first two years...but not now.   The key for me would be the draft capital. If it's only one of those 2nds...I am very intrigued.
    • You can't believe everything you hear. He's perhaps just testing out market value
    • Well it did say in the article Ballard contacted the Texans about his availability.
    • Thank God Ballard is too smart to fall for this kind of noise. Looking forward to this season I think we have a fine team
