My keys to beating the Chiefs

You can control the clock if you grind out long drives. I’m normally an ‘air it out’ type, but Saturday I want to see the Indianapolis House of Pancakes serving up double stacks all night in the run game. Run it down their throats all night. It’s the smart thing to do because it gives the defense time to catch their breath, and they’ll need to against this high flying Chiefs offense.

Besides, running the ball will setup OUR play action pass, and it will be fun to watch Luck air it out!!

I still don't think that matters. Every team struggles with Kelce. Hes gonna get his. The point is to limit their offense in certain parts to their game.

The Chargers don't. Our defense handles him pretty well.

I think its going to be really key to get a handle on all those screens they run.

I saw a snipit from a morning show this morning that showed some Reich clips. He talked about it’s no secret we want to run the ball. But he also said we need to score a bunch of points. If the chiefs give it to us I would not be surprised to see the colts try to air it out.

Wow. not sure where you're getting all this confidence from. This playoff football. Nothing is as easy as you just made it seem

Have you looked at the Colts W-L record for 2018? Did you watch the Texans playoff game?

The colts really haven’t faced a offense like KC. I have no idea what to expect with our defense. I have no worries with our offense. This very well could be a blowout with KC winning setting our guys up for a big run next season. These young guys might need to lose this game big to get that chip on their shoulder for next year.

".….might need to lose this game?" These are not kids. They have played football for years. They know what it takes to win. The worst case scenario for KC's offense is a fast defense and that is what the Colts have. How many home teams lost last week?  There are no guarantees but Colts fans need to understand what the Colts are capable of doing.

The colts havent played a qb wide receiver combo like this all year. Or a tight end like KELCE. I will continue to say this defense is unknown when going up against a team like the chiefs. We have done well against the run game but we have not seen a passing team like this the entire year. We might play lights out but I can also see this young defense getting blown out.

Rate the KC defense. Rams scored 54 points on them.

    • Football as a blood sport?
    • Truth can be disappointing, if you bother to look.   The problem with any organization or movement that grows from infancy, is that missteps occur along the way.  Most would acknowledge these missteps, admit when they were wrong, apologize, then seek to correct the processes so the same wrongness doesn't happen again.   Has BLM ever admitted they did anything wrong...ever? If we don't get the message, I guess that's our shortcoming and not theirs, after 4 years of delivering the message.     A group that is confident that their message is rooted in truth would be able to admit their missteps.  OTOH, it seems like BLM must think their cause is built on a house of cards that would totally collapse if anything wrong was admitted.     From the Wash Post: Of the 10,000,000 arrests that happened in 2019 in the USA, 1,100 involved police shootings.  9 of the victims were unarmed blacks.  While brutality is not the same as an actual shooting, it does seem like police brutality against blacks....white cops not black cops....would be situational anomalies rather than something indicative of a systemic problem that a dopey, untalented, and angry NFL QB would apply to the country as whole by disrespecting its flag and anthem.
    • High power offenses can't score if they don't have the ball.  The key is our defense not giving up big plays too.  I am so tired of those dump off passes ending up 15-20 yards down the field.
