Philadelphia (+6.5) at Bears (1-6-19)

4:40 EST    Al Michael, Cris Collinsworth and Michelle Tafoya on NBC

mid-30s and cloudy on the lakefront in Chicago,  over-under 41

Eagles backup QB (Old St.) Nick Foles will take on the new 'Monster of the Midway' armed with only tight end Jack Ertz (116 catches, 1,163 yards),  ex-Bear Alshon Jeffery (65 catches, 843 yards) and cagey vets Darren Sproyles and Golden Tate.

The defending NFL champs won five of their last six to make the playoffs but they're going to need more than  their funny color green uniforms to move the ball against  Bears defense that has 51 QB sacks and 14 interceptions.

Bears' 2nd year QB 'My Man Mitch' Trubisky  (289 of 434, 3,223 yards, 24 Tds, 12 INTs) makes his NFL playoff debut with the help of hard running Jordan Howard ( 250 carries, 935 yards) and speedy Tyrik Cohen (71 catches, 725 yards and 99 runs for 444 yards)

The Eagles have allowed 4,308 yards passing in 16 games while the Bears have allowed 3,515 yards passing,

What I'm trying to say is: The Eagles secondary is about a tough as Notre Dame's was in the college playoffs.

Of the four games this weekend, this is the biggest mismatch.

This isn't 2018 anymore. ..and we're not in Philadelphia.

the Bears place kicker has a bad habit of hitting the crossbar and the goal post with his kicks so 6 1/2 is a lot

But the Bears 'D' will horse whip the Eagles like a slow pony.

Question is can 'My Man Mitch' get his 1st Playoff win?

Isnt it funny how much difference ther is between games you ned to win to make the playoffs.

..and actual playoff games

3-0 Eagles after one quarter and Foles looks very much in control

True but he's he's played 3 full years........

Trubisky and Watson havent even played 2 full seasons...

Its hard to ride a young horse in the the post-season

Mitch did not play 2 full years? I understand Watson, as he went on IR last year but Mitch played 2 full years, no?

Also make it clear, I despise the bears and their fans. I lived in NW Indiana for 15 years. Obnoxious

Then you're not with me rooting for a Bears-Colts Super Bowl like in 2005?

Are you with me?:grouphug:

You know, if one player initiated contact and provoked another player to respond, they should be offsetting penalties.

I always wonder about that because the ref is standing there watching the whole thing

To your second part, that’s what gets me. They see the provocation but let it go?
