Jalen Collins promoted to active roster,

Lawrence Owen

Well....   well...   well...   well....

Hmmm.....   interesting....

Of course it doesn’t mean anything if he’s not one of the 46 active tomorrow. Right now, Collins is only on the 53-man active roster.

But in the immortal words of Scarlet O’Hara,  tomorrow is another day!

I saw this and to be honest got pretty excited. But yeah, doesn’t mean much if he isn’t part of the active 46. I really thought it was going to be swoope so we could run 3 tight ends and already knows the system so he could be used right away......  Tomorrow will be interesting!!

I wonder if they think he matches up better against these two quarterbacks/WR’s than prior QB’s? Obviously our secondary has taken a beating the last few weeks given the injuries, so it could be just for depth. I will say that Collins is arguably as talented as any of our CB’s on this roster, so it wouldn’t surprise me if he gets more snaps than people expect.

Hope we give him a chance when healthy and not in trouble in Atlanta he was very good.

Where did you get that from? Most Falcons fans I've heard from say he was average

dolpins fans were calling vontea davis average and he turned into a pro bowl corner and a shut down corner .    some times guys need a fresh start a lot of players struggled with the colts and went to other teams and played very good

Yes I agree on new scenery but I asked where you got the "in Atlanta he was very good" part from

Not knowing the rules, could this be simply a move to prevent another team from snatching him in the final week?

It could be, but it seemed like this was in the works once they waived the safety the other day. They were probably waiting to make sure Ebron was cleared, just in case.

from falcon fans on forums and youtube  all saying he was good just kept getting in trouble and couldnt stay on the field like a josh gordon

He’s on the right team now, Ballard won’t put up with any nonsense.   He wasn’t on the roster because of the way he was practicing.  Apparently they worked that out.  Hopefully he’s matured.

Kind of of doubt he’s active Sunday unless someone is hurt.

Did he even travel with the team? They announced he was elevated after the team already left. Maybe they just elevated him incase this is our last game so another team can’t sign him in the offseason

edit: nvm he did travel with the team

I may be wrong, but I think he is shown in this video travelling with the team.

At the 29 mark.

For what it's worth he produced when he was given the chance half the season in Atlanta when Trufant went down. He played well on their SB run too except for the SB where he got picked apart however

Also, he was solid in college I guess. I mean these are some snippets off Twitter I've seen. A common opinion seems to be that he's 1) raw 2) doesn't have quick hips so good rote runners can expose him

But there are worse CB's out there, and maybe he works out for s

    • This is probably the strongest I've seen the Central division in my lifetime. I feel like any of these teams could beat any other team in the country on a good night.
    • At 15 I see BTJ or AD Mitchell being available.  I don't see Ballard trading up.   Verse is a possibility too.  Q Mitchell as well.   So I think that is your "cluster" of players at 15.
    • Yes, Wentz can't come ever close to Kirk's abilities but that's not my point.   You need to re-read what I said, the best way to explain Cousins' issues is to be a fan of his team and experience his play when you're emotionally invested in the franchise's success.   That doesn't mean they are comparable.   Being much better than Wentz means no big endorsement either.    As for the excuses you made for Cousins, I look forward to hearing all the similar excuses from Falcons forums! Gonna be Awesome for a change after past half-decade!   I'll say one thing - Colts fans can't handle 1 year of Wentz, including the owner. And half year of Ryan, including the owner. Vikings had shown better patience with Cousins in 6 years, when his first two years ended like Wentz' year with Colts, except for the difference of lot of fantasy stats and highlight reels. You'd again point to how Cousins is so much better than Wentz, and it will be a circular argument - which is why I tried to explain what Superman felt and how it reflects being a fan of Cousins' team.
    • Regardless of Ballard's talk about the current CB room, I think he's still taking a CB in 1st round
    • I felt exactly the same as you. Let me ask all those that disagree this question... are the colts a better team due to cutting Rodgers ? Does anyone think that if Rodgers were on the team , it would be a distraction or cause just what problems ? Does anyone really think that Rodgers is going to in anyway "hurt " Philly's team chemistry.
