Colts Vs. New York Giants Game Day Thread

Recommended Posts

We could NOT look any worse!

Look completely unprepared or interested.   Players AND coaches alike.

Hugely disappointing.

The rest of this game will be a big test for this team...,

Let's forget about Darius Leonard maybe getting 40 tackles. Lets worry about Colts D holding Giants to less than 40 points.

Giants are just casually walking all over us.  Apparently we are tanking for a better draft pick or something.

We are not coming back from being 14 down. We might as well call it a game. This is what happens when you have young players. They got arrogant. We will lose and the Steelers will lose so it won’t matter.

Best shut the G'day thread down then...

The worst part is that this is not even surprising.......we did this against the Jags except they were garbage on offense so the game looked close.

its still only 1st quarter but the team is just not even remotely focused.

It looks like communication is spotty and some guys don't even know what they're supposed to be doing. Both sides have been playing undisciplined ball so far.

Times like this that I really miss Peyton. He would be jumping on some players right now and getting folks motivated.

I honestly had a bad feeling about this game.  Giants had nothing to lose.  Beckham wasnt playing and there was no way we would lose this game. We got all the national attention as being the team no one wanted to play if we made the playoffs.   Eberflus was possibly getting head coaching interest. We were at  home.  That usually comes back go haunt a team.  They r young.  If they lose they will hopefully learn from this if they go on to lose this game.

It's still the 1st Qtr, we see bigger points swing week to week.

We're not playing well for sure, but the sky is falling stuff has gotten old in Gameday.

And to top it off Leonard was on every show this week. Just seems so much better flying under the radar.

It was a small concern of mine that he might play a bit too fired up today after his snub

Giants didn't stop us the first two - we stopped ourselves.  We can and will get points.  Defense needs to toughen up and quit playing like we're up 30 points.

That was a bad first quarter. Too many mental mistakes.

When you have a team playing above their potential, (low on actual talent) then you can't have mental mistakes, otherwise, it's too much to overcome. Hopefully they get it together the next 3 quarters.

The colts just got a lot of attention this week.  Honestly  I  didn't like Leonard's comments bout getting snubbed and getting 40 tackles.  That is bulletin board material and put a the emphasis on the individual rather  than the team

Seems a little extreme to me. Maybe a good tongue lashing.

    • Pre-season games.   Local TV.   Not televised where you could pick it up.    Sling that.    You made the claim in the pre-season.   August.   I called you on it in August.   I've made the claim multiple times.   And now,  5 months later,  you come up with an explanation?   Sling box?    Now?    You couldn't have said that 5 months ago?    Or any other time I called you on it?     Now?  Nice try.   Quite honestly,  I've spent plenty of time writing long posts to you and it's a waste of my time.    You're not interested in anything that shows you're wrong.   You simply move the goal line.    You change the argument.     You did it in the previous exchange in the thread and you always act like you don't understand.   You made several posts last off-season saying Frank Reich was a poor play caller in 2018.   You made the claim in several different threads.    I called you on it.   The only game you pointed to was the KC playoff game.    That's it.   One game.   That's proof of nothing.   And now, your new argument is that posters here agree with you that Reich did a poor job in the KC playoff game.    My response is...    so?      That wasn't even your original argument.    You've dropped that and moved on.    Pretended you never said it.    Ask for me to go fishing for posts to prove you said it.    You said it alright.   Multiple times.    I called you on it multiple times.    Pretending you didn't say it now is simply par for the course for you.    I try to waste as little time on you as possible.    I try my best to ignore you, per Nadine's wishes.    I'm doing better,  but I reserve the right to point out the worst of your nonsense.  Perhaps not all of it,  only the most insulting.     Otherwise,  knock yourself out...   I'll try to avoid you.....   Good luck....
    • For me the top of the draft is a lot more offensive heavy than what ive seen in the thread. I'd go: 1.Chase Young 2.Joe Burrow 3.Ceedee Lamb 4.Jeff Okudah 5.Jerry Jeudy 6.Isaiah Simmons 7. Tua 8.Mekhi Becton 9.Henry Ruggs 10:Derrick Brown
    • I don’t think Carr gets traded for less than a one.   But if it was, then it would likely be two high picks...  a 2 and a 3.   I don’t see Gruden getting rid of Carr for pennies on the dollar.
    • I think MTC was comparing his on-field performance to Winston. He's probably a good kid with his head screwed on straight, but this last season he threw 17 INTs against 20 TDs.
