Marvin and honestly it is  not even close.

He was that good.

Sometimes i forget some around here came on board after Marvin.   In his prime, he was literally unstoppable:  I've never seen anything quite like him.  Clutch!

How can you post the stats & even ask that question???  TY has actually put up some pretty respectable numbers (not being a full time starter in his first 2 seasons).  But you also gotta factor in that Marv didn’t have Peyton his first 2 years & his 3rd Peyton was a turnover machine.  The league was also much harder to pass in compared to when TY debuted.  Taking all of that into consideration, Peyton realized the stud he had in Marvin & Marvin’s 4th year reads like this: 115 catches, 1663 yards, and 12 touchdowns.   :mindblow:  MY GOODNESS!!!!  TY has yet to match any 1 of those 3 numbers in any season.  In today’s NFL, with the way Luck came out throwing the deep ball, Marvin would have been flirting with a 2000 yard season & 20 TD’s by now.

By the end of T.Y.'s career, who will have the title of best Colts receiver ever?

T.Y.'s first seven seasons: 40 TD's/7,537 yards/476 receptions.

Marvin's first seven seasons: 73 TD's/8,800 yards/665 receptions/

If we need a first down can you EXPECT TY to get it for you. NOO!
He won.t even be close to Reggie.

Marvin Harrison....   NFL Hall of Famer

T. Y. Hilton.....              NFL very nice player

Those are not the same.

Does that answer your question?

You can’t compare players who are still playing to players that are finished and in the HOF. It’s just not a fair comparison

Don’t normally like comparing players from different generations in any sport either, as sport evolves so much over the years. It has however massively changed in favour of QB’s and WR’s and it’s actually easier for receivers to put up big numbers now than when Marvin was playing and yet T.Y. still doesn’t match Marvins numbers. There is no contest here whatsoever imo.

33 TD's/1263 yards/189 receptions somehow didn't make you not hit the post button?
