Omg people.  Why all the negative comments bout how our offense is playing?.  R u watching the same game I am.  It is a slug fest.  We r not playing bad. It is just a case of a good O going against a great D. Jags D came to play today

Still bad decisions by the coach.  In a slug fest you take points where you can get them.  We're went for it on fourth down twice where we could have had field goals.

I think this is a great games for the Colts.  They r playing an incredible D today.  If they win it is a good lesson. They have 2 good D's coming up in Houston and Dallas.

The Houston game is making me sick to my stomach to think about.

It's now 3 quarters that the Colts have not scored against the Jaguars. Colts did not score in the second half of their last meeting.

I don't necessarily disagree  with his call on the goal line. I do think the play to Ebron was epically bad.  U don't go outside on this D

Not really it's 0-0. Even if they score here they still aren't.

More intensity I mean.

Just out of interest.. the Colts were 54.5% on 4th downs and going for it before this game. That's about middle of the league.

Now work out the EV of TD vs FG...

That's not to say that this is for every 4th down, there is a defined graph showing the "to go" line as the break point as to when you should go for it against distance to the end zone.

Why r we surprised that their D us out playing our offense? Their D is very athletic  and fast. They have elite player all over the place. Our O  is scheme based and lacks athleticism.  Talent wise, they r way ahead of us and it is showing. We don't really have any players that challenge them

Yep, not as easy when your not playing at home

Colts are surprisingly getting a lot of calls there way.  Hopefully our missed field goal opportunities don't come back to haunt us!

    • Salary cap. They're up against it this year, and they have a lot of free agents next year.
    • The more I think about this, the more I feel the Colts may try to trade back.  Ballard said himself there are only about 8 players they would consider in the 1st, and my bet is most or all will be gone by 26.  This is an overall weak class compared to last year except the DL.     Hopefully get an extra 2nd out of the deal!
    • I've been preparing to hear some unexpected names with our first 3 picks, if we stay there, but I still think I'll be surprised at some of them. Some potential surprises IMO could be McLaurin or Banogu (who I admittedly don't like much) in the early/late 2nd. Or Jacobs at #26, which I'd also not be very high on. And those are just ones that would kind of surprise me. I fully expect an out of left field pick at either 26, 34, or 59.
    • I understand where you are coming from, but late First Round WRs rarely pan out either. Here's a list 20 of the top WRs in the NFL and where they were drafted, based on The Draft Networks list, https://thedraftnetwork.com/articles/the-top-20-wide-receivers-in-the-nfl:   Deandre Hopkins - Round 1, Pick 27 Julio Jones - Round 1, Pick 6 Michael Thomas - Round 2, Pick 47 Antonio Brown - Round 6, Pick 195 Adam Thielen - Undrafted Odell Beckham Jr - Round 1, Pick 12 Tyreek Hill - Round 5, Pick 165 Mike Evans - Round 1, Pick 7 Juju Smith-Schuster - Round 2, Pick 62 Davante Adams - Round 2, Pick 53 Keenan Allen - Round 3, Pick 76 Stefon Diggs - Round 5, Pick 146 AJ Green - Round 1, Pick 4 TY Hilton - Round 3, Pick 92 Brandin Cooks - Round 1, Pick 20 Robert Woods - Round 2, Pick 41 Amari Cooper - Round 1, Pick 4 Kenny Golladay - Round 3, Pick 96 Tyler Lockett - Round 3, Pick 69 Emanuel Sanders - Round 3, Pick 82   Totals: Top 16 of Round 1: 5 Bottom 16 of Round 1: 2 Round 2: 4 Round 3: 5 Round 4: 0 Round 5: 2 Round 6: 1 Round 7: 0 Undrafted: 1   As can be seen, most value in the draft at WR can be gotten in the either the top of the first or the second and third rounds. Only two WRs taken in the back half of round one have become top 20 caliber players.    Let's also look at the past 5 drafts, receivers taken in the bottom half of round 1:   Brandin Cooks (2014) Kelvin Benjamin (2014) Nelson Agholor (2015) Breshad Perriman (2015) Philip Dorsett (2015) Will Fuller (2016) Josh Doctson (2016) Laquon Treadwell (2016) DJ Moore (2018) Calvin Ridley (2018)   While the jury is still out on Moore and Ridley, only Cooks has really performed at a high level out of them all. 5 of the remaining 7 have been very disappointing thus far (Benjamin, Perriman, Dorsett, Doctson, Treadwell), and the remaining two are both unreliable at times, and decent at best. Based on this evidence, I personally would least like 26 to be WR. In fact, I would only put QB, P, K, and OL below it at that slot. Late first round receivers rarely pan out, and I want this draft to be another big success to push us up the ladder into SB talks.
