College Players to Scout Today

Recommended Posts

Possible Future Colts, Playing today- MAY be available, when we pick

While you are enjoying the games today, keep the "scout" eye open for these guys

Alabama

Raekwon Davis - DL

Clemson

Christian Wilkins - DL

Dexter Lawrence - DL

Clelin Ferrel - DL

Mitch Hyatt - OT (2nd round option) - I will be VERY suprised if we dont take an OT in rounds 2-3.

Treyvon Mullen - CB (2nd round option)  - Watch this guy........ 6'1" 200......  He seems like a GREAT fit for this Colts defense

THE Ohio State

Dre'mont Jones - DL (2nd round option)

Paris Campbell - WR (2nd round option)..... maybe for the late 2nd that we get for Brissett :)

Georgia

J.R. Reed - S-  (2nd round, or 3rd round option) 6'2" 200ish.  Was a tackling machine in 2017. MAY be able to come in as SS

Texas

Collin Johnson - WR (2-3rd round option) 6'6" 220Lbs......    Huge target

Please add anyone I may have missed....

Thanks.....  I will watch for him as well

He isnt getting much love from the "draft experts"

The Draft network seems to like him. Article is from a few months back but the writer said he could have the highest ceiling of any player in the big 12.

Lil Jordan Humphrey, WR, no. 84 from Texas.

If we are keeping the same scheme, Kris Boyd, CB from Texas... he's kind of getting exposed for his weaknesses by Marquise Brown so far.

I haven't seen many talk about Gary Johnson, LB, Texas but I like him as a potential late round pick.

Marquise Brown, WR, no.5 from OKlahoma... Ceedee Lamb, WR from Oklahoma(I don't think he's eligible, but good to look at him for the future)

Cody Ford and Bobby Evans, OTs from Oklahoma.

I like the size, but not seeing great separation (Ive only watched 2nd half)

He's separating. His QB is not throwing to him. Which is weird after he just had a 160 yards first half... On the last 3d down and long he was streaking down midfield with at least 5 yards of separation and instead Ehlinger threw to a covered Lil Jordan Humphrey.

Gary Johnson with the big play... too bad it was all for naught.

Some cornerbacks that haven't been mentioned yet:

DeAndre Baker - CB - Georgia (Early 2nd Rd) Best Defensive Back Finalist

Damon Arnette - CB - Ohio State (2nd Rd)

Kendall Sheffield - CB - Ohio State (2nd Rd)

I may humbly disagree

I would stay away from the Buckeyes CBs until round 4 or later (Im a buckeyes fan)

These guys are fast, but there are MUCH better CBs out there

Deandre is gone in round 1.......  more of a man to man CB from what I have seen

My Conference Champion Weekend Mock Draft (WTE)

Way too early......

Round 1 - Raekwon Davis - UT/NT

Round 2 (From Jets) - Dre'mont Jones - UT

Round 2 - Mitch Hyatt - OT

Round 2 - Rapp - Washington SS

(Brissett Trade Pick :)  We also give up a 5th to get the pick, for those that dont think Briskett Brissett is worth much)

Round 3 - Paris Hilton Ohio State WR

Round 4 - Best CB available

Round 6 - Best development QB available

Note:

We stabilize our DL for the next 5 years, with two to add to the rotation. We pick up a Tackle to replace AC in a few years and possibly start at RT year one. We get a ball hawking SS that is all over the field making tackles, and add a very dangerous, and bigger Darrin Sproeles type speedster to enhance the offense
