The Colts worked out former Falcons cornerback Jalen Collins only hours after his 10-game suspension officially ended...

...Collins has served four suspensions for violations of the NFL’s substance-abuse and performance-enhancing drug policies...

...He has not played a meaningful game since Super Bowl LI when the Falcons lost to the Patriots.

The former second-round choice appeared in 24 games with eight starts for Atlanta in 2015-16. In eight games in 2016, Collins had 31 tackles with two interceptions and 10 passes defensed.

Interesting. He seems to go against everything Ballard has preached about character etc

Maybe Ballard thinks we now have the leadership in the locker room to absorb a character issue signing. If so this might mean that we'll be bigger players in free agency too.

If he worked out well , it would seem to be a good signing for the Colts and a great landing spot for Collins.

Adding Collins and another pick in the draft next year should solidify the defensive backs.

Creates a lot of competition between Wilson, Hairston, Moore II, potentially Collins and another high draft pick.

Although, Wilson has been playing a lot in the Geathers role lately as well...could a move to safety be in his future?

Wilson looked lost last week . Hopefully his play will improve.

Ballard has said any FA would have to pass with support from this guy-

Colts director of player development:

"So when we’re looking at [players], he’s not going to look at the talent base, he’s going to look at the character base and then help us make decisions on what we can handle."

Might he can return to his form as when he was with the falcons this would be a GREAT pickup imo 6’1 203 with good speed. He was above average for the falcons and he’s better than all some of the other guys we have starting.

Really wish we would’ve pursued josh Gordon instead of this guy.

Just how do you know Ballard didn't pursue Gordon?  Just because he signed with New England does not mean other teams were not interested.

It seems Ballard is pretty tight with his draft picks and that may have come into play?
