Conley - A trade I could get behind

I usually think these what if scenarios are a bit crazy......  But this one caught my eye

I would consider, especially for a 3rd round pick (Nothing better)

 

I watched this guy play in college.......  He was very good football player

 

He has some time with our current FS safety in College, and has the size to play our style of defense....... AND.....could contribute THIS year

 

Wishful thinking but......

There was a rape allegation, but the cops didnt pursue...... it seemed like a nonsense deal

 

Other than that, noting before, and nothing after that at least made the news.

 

 

The guy can play football....... He was a shutdown CB at Ohio State. But its said he is good in zone as well........  he also is bit bigger to match up better than we have.

 

He could be had for cheap, and could give us options to switch from cover to m to m if needed for a change up

 

He is in the Gruden dog house (Like everyone else is)

He certainly fits Ballards MO as a young player with upside and we really need help at corner.  Not a splash trade but a trade that could pay immediate dividends this year.

Gruden said he wouldn't trade him but supposedly he said the same about Cooper. They are big on waiting for top offers so they might only look for a 2nd or maybe early 3rd, who knows though.  I would not mind going after him though.

To be fair Gruden probably didn't think someone would offer him a 1st for Cooper.

I completely agree as far as Cooper.

I would agree and I made a separate thread about this very possibility.  I don't mind that Conley has been in Gruden's doghouse because that's Gruden's MO.  The guy has been injured but can play when healthy.

I think there is a WR in KC named Conley that would be an outstanding addition to our receiving corps. Do not really remember all the details. I just remember thinking this kid could be a really good player
