I get it. But if he wasn't showing much during the season, they could've removed him from the 53 if they didn't care about losing him. That they didn't tells me they liked what they were seeing. So, I view it as a plus. Something favorable. As to the draft, since Eason is not going to be the starter, then I don't think any Eason decision impacts the draft and our possibly taking a QB who might someday be our starter. We can still draft a potential future starter if we like. I'm thinking April and May will give Eason time to show if he's improved one year from the last. And maybe show enough to give Ballard confidence that Eason can indeed be the starter. If not, I think there will be someone Ballard likes available to be the 2021 back-up and keep Eason as the third string if they still like him long term. PS -- I just tried to send you a friendly PM about our communication this week. But I'm blocked. So, I thought I'd share it public. The back and forth this week has been good. I deliberately did not respond to a flood of posts in the middle of the week. Wanted to make sure things were OK. I had planned to respond today all along. I just didn't expect this week to be so crazy. Sorry your inbox has been flooded. Appreciate the back and forth. -

If we get Stafford I will go outside in 20 degree weather and do this out of happiness -

we can't afford Robinson. We have too many high $ needs IMO to spend that on a WR. Unless we want to go back to great O, bad D. I guess it depends on how things unfold, but I just can't see us keeping TY and getting a big name WR. I could see us drafting one in the 2nd or 3rd though, or taking a medium guy in FA. -

Where did I say that? I never said Watson wouldn’t be successful wherever he goes. If you’re going to make an argument, you need to stay on topic in order for your argument to be credible. Running away from my counterpoint with another statement I never made makes you look foolish. Your take your Stafford being a “stat qb” is a bad take as mentioned. You’re telling me you place Watson on the lions team starting in 09, he’s going to have significantly more success than Stafford? The answer is unlikely.
