Hi, Colts Nation!   :default_20smile:  Our  1-4 Indianapolis Colts  return from their mini-bye week after their valiant, but disappointing loss at the New England Patriots on Thursday Night Football, as they are in the New Jersey Meadowlands to play the 2-3 New York Jets in an AFC battle of last place teams.

Indianapolis will be busy on the field this afternoon, besides facing rookie QB Sam Darnold from USC, the Colts #18th NFL ranked Rushing Defense, will face the #6 Total Rushing Offense, led by Isaiah Crowell and Bilar Powell, but Powell is questionable to play because of his foot injury.

Many players on both teams are listed in their Team Injury Reports, the N.Y. Jets have 15 players with two confirmed out from today's game.   Colts have 20 players on their IR with 6 players confirmed out from game action, despite 10 days between games.

Indianapolis and the New York Jets are meeting for the 74th time this afternoon, including 69 regular season, and 4 postseason games, a rivalry that began when Joe Namath and the N.Y. Jets defeated the heavily-favored Colts 16-7 at the Orange Bowl in Miami, FL back on January 12, 1969. Colts currently leads the all-time series with their 42-31-0 record entering today.

Colts last regular season win over the N.Y. Jets was also played at MetLife Stadium back on December 5, 2016.  Colts QB Andrew Luck threw four touchdown passes including three  in the first half to WR Dwayne Allen from 7 yards  21 yards, and 23 yards.  Luck also threw a three yard pass to WR Donte Montcrief in the third quarter.  Colts RB Robert Turbin ran his 3 yard TD run in the fourth quarter.  Adam Vinatieri completed the Colts game scoring with his two field goals from 53 yards and 36 yards, followed by his 5 PAT's, as Indianapolis won 41-10.  Luck completed 22 0f his 28 passes for  278 yards, 4 TD's and 0 INT.

Mostly cloudy skies at 58 degrees, feels like 57 degrees, is the game forecast inside MetLife Stadium, for the 1:05 P.M. Eastern Standard Time kickoff, along with 0% precipitation, 52% humidity, and southwest winds at 6 miles per hours.

Head Linesman Alex Kemp leads his NFL officiating crew to supervise  the game action between the Colts and New York Jets.

Thanks LOS, I am predicting victory this week despite TY being out. 23-20 Colts win.

This game is too close to call. I think we eek out a victory as well. I'll be different and say 24-21 Colts! :) I believe the team is hungry for this one. Hilton out does worry me though.

I just don't think we are a 1-5 team and this is a must win to get to 2-4. I may be wrong we shall see. TY being out does stink!

I'd be shocked if we laid down in this game. There's enough people active to be competitive IMO. The question is going to be if we have enough firepower on offense to keep up. I saw the Jets game Vs Denver and how they ran the ball down their throats and Darnold threw the deep passes to Robby Anderson. I hope we are prepared for that and ready to stop them.

Colts with 20 on IR and 6 out puts them in a tough spot.  I still think they can pull this one out 20-17.

That's how big having Andrew Luck healthy is. Because of that alone most people feel like we have a chance.

You couldn't make this crap up. Two passes, two drops, 7 points Jets.

    • Out of curiosity, did the judge tell you to stay 300 or 500 yards away from Mahomes at all times?
    • The Colts no longer have an edge over their division rivals.  For year the xfactor that set the a Colts apart was their franchise QB.  That’s no longer the  case.  The Texans are a more marquee team now because they have Deshaun Watson.     In fact, the Colts don’t really have that star value any more.  When an offensive lineman is your most talented player that isn’t exactly billboard material.  Darius Leonard is good but this league is full of good defensive players.    The Colts lack of a marquee caliber QB has them in danger of becoming boring. The Titans are boring too.  They have Derrick Henry whose stock is rising.  You can win games with boring but seldom does boring win championships in a league whose primary emphasis is on entertainment.
    • Id be for signing Henry weaken Titans Tannehill too if they are stupid enough to letting him go.
    • Given some of the things we've been seeing, news, quarterbacks moving their homes, etc., here is my way Way WAAAAY too early prediction of how the 2020 draft will shape out, leading up the Colts pick at 13.   Pick 1 - Bengals - Joe Burrow, QB, LSU - Nobody is surprised by this.  The Bengals want to start new.  Burrow is the flavor of the month.  I think this pick is already set in stone three months before the draft.   Pick 2 - Redskins - Chase Young, DE, Ohio St. - The Redskins don't need a quarterback.  At least, not yet!  They'll hear a lot of offers from teams wishing to trade up to get ahead of the Dolphins.  But they will be very glad to select the true best player in the draft, thank you very much.   TRADE ALERT!!!  The Raiders trade their 12th and 19th pick, along with a variety of others, to the Lions, in order to move ahead of the Dolphins.   Pick 3 - Raiders - Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama - Tua may be coming off of a dangerous and complicated injury, but the Raiders believe he will be a much more exciting QB than Herbert.  And since they're moving to Vegas, excitement is on the menu.   Pick 4 - Giants - A.J. Espenesa, DE, Iowa - Yes, they're hearing the trade offers, too.  The Chargers are banging their door down.  But they missed out on Young, and still want to get an elite pass rusher.  They'll stay put, and take their guy.   Pick 5 - Dolphins - Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon - The Dolphins were taking a quarterback.  Everybody knew it.  Unless two teams trade in front of them, they are definitely going quarterback.  Herbert may not be as good as Burrow nor as exciting as Tua, but he knows what he's doing.   Pick 6 - Chargers - Jacob Eason, QB, Washington - Phillip Rivers' change of address was a huge tell.  They need a quarterback.  Now.  And they are willing to reach to get him.  There is no way that Eason is worth the 6th overall pick.  Doesn't matter.  At least, not to the Chargers.   Pick 7 - Panthers - Jeffrey Okukah, CB, Ohio St. - It was a pipe dream to believe that an elite quarterback would fall to them at 7.  They don't truly need to replace Cam Newton just yet.  They can still roll with him for a year or two.  Take the BPA, who only happens to be an elite player anyway.   Pick 8 - Cardinals - Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama - Although it seemed like a jerk move to replace Josh Rosen with Kyler Murray, it turned out to be the right move.  They now need to give Murray weapons.  It could have been his former Oklahoma teammate, but they'll go with Jeudy.   Pick 9 - Jaguars - Isaiah Simmons, LB, Clemson - Within the once vaunted Jags defense, the linebacker play was not up to snuff.  Not anymore.  Simmons showed that he deserved to be picked in the top 10.  Jags still need a QB, but they should still be able to take one at pick 20.   Pick 10 - Browns - Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia - Last year, the Browns tried to buy their way to a championship through expensive free agent skill position players.  Now, they need to get back to brass Titans, and solidify their core.   Pick 11 - Jets - CeeDee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma - The Jets are getting their act together, but one thing they need is true weapons for Sam Darnold to work with.  They were drafting WR with this pick, whether it was Jeudy, Lamb, Higgins, or Shenault.   Pick 12 - Lions - Derrick Brown, DT, Auburn - The Lions traded back, picked up an extra 1st rounder, and still got the best DT in the bunch.  Ndomukong Suh without the rage issues.   Pick 13 - Colts - Jevon Kinlaw, DT, South Carolina - Best pick available also happens to be a need position.  Yes, they could go Higgins or Shenault.  Or reach for one of the 2nd tier QB's.  But they won't.   And that's how I see it shaping up, leading up to our pick.  How right will I bet?  Ha!  I always get surprised on draft day.
    • After I made the post i had to go back on YouTube and look up some of the match ups. Ya-Sin won the ones i watched but Lonnie Johnson couldn't touch Deebo in the one i watched
