Question About Manning's Previous "status"

I'm confused about the cba agreement not allowing us to "work out" manning.

What was his staus at that point? Was he on IR?

Is this something that triggered after the season ended or because the team changed his staus?

He was kept off IR all year and it would make no sense to make him unavailable to "look at" right before a decision of this type had to be made.

Something seemed odd to me there.

Anyone know the timeframe of events and the ramifications?

From my understanding he intentionally failed a physical so he could continue using team facilities. This meant only doctors could attend to him and not the coaches. I could be wrong but I think it was something along these lines.

yea andrewluck12 thats right. But i think if he didnt fail it purposefully it would have a negative impact on him because obviously he made improvement while working with the team
