Philly predictions

This is a very difficult one to predict. Both teams have lots of injuries and I believe it may come down to Wentz being slightly more rusty than Luck. We have the advantage of RB for sure in this particular game, and probably WR as well for Luck while Wentz has Ertz at TE.

If we had Constanzo, it'd be a probable win, without him, I think we squeak by because of the interior line doing just enough and Leonard stepping up again on defense.

Colts 24

Eagles 23

I sure do hope so, a lot of people are predicting a reality check today. With that being said.... I got Colts 27-17

I have the same score, maybe even 27-23 Colts.

I do think there’ll be a reality check..... for the Eagles and their fans! :jump:

  • With both teams banged up a bit, it's hard to see which way the outcome goes, but I predict that:
  • *Quenton Nelson gets at least one humiliating pancake on Fletcher Cox and one de-cleater on some poor guy at the second level, causing him to question his career choice.
  • *Darius Leonard and Malik Hooker both get picks. One of 'em goes for six.
  • *We'll see the deep ball from Luck have an impact on the game.
  • *Sheard and Hunt each get a sack.
  • *Play calling, especially on first down, is unpredictable, unlike seasons past.
  • *We'll see an entertaining game, with some further development of some of the young guys on defense.

Sadly I don’t see us winning in Philly with rain in the forecast.  Hasn’t stopped me from talking mad smack to my buddy who is a diehard Eagles fan.

Eagles 24-17

Wentz shows he is well on his way back to being the best young QB.

The rain should only help us, the exception being deep passes of which we havent implemented anyway. Can our run game carry us today? They are down their top 2 backs and thin wr corp. We have the speed to cover Ertz, their only true threat imo. We have a really good shot to get a W today and can continue the smack talk into Monday morning meeting room.

Our biggest competition is ourselves. We keep trying to improve every week. Keep the penalties and mistakes down. Come out with that fire to our win. Nobody will want to play us. I do t want or need anyone's respect. It will be earned by going out there and playing to our abilities.

    • 10-7 will get us in, we can still lose 1 more after looking at everything. 10-7 can happen, we have to beat the Pats though.
    • I just don't understand the hate on the offense that's 4th for points per game, when the defense is ranked 29th in passing defense, 21st in rushing defense, and 25th overall team defense. To be fair they are good at turnovers but I more relate that Leonard is having a career year when it comes to causing turnover 7 so far (5 FF and 2 Int) which ties the year when he had 7 for the year (5 Int and 2 FF).
    • If the Colts want to make the playoffs, they got to win the rest of their games this season. We got three rough ones with the Patriots, Cardinals and the Raiders in a row I believe. If we win these games, we absolutely have a shot against any team in the playoffs.   I like Frank alot, and he does a lot of great things as a coach, but I agree with some of the criticism he's gotten for last game and for other close games we've lost to the better teams this season. The stretch of 3 games will really tell alot about the team if they can rebound from a close loss to the SB champs.     At the end of the day, the record won't lie much about the current status of the team. Hope they can deliver.
    • Franks a good coach, terrible play caller its pretty simple actually.
    • one great play call?     yeah somebody gotta correct him on that     the one thing that gives me hope for the future is that I don't believe for a second Ballard won't step in if this kind of nonsense continues. I'm sure he was fuming after the loss to the Titans and told Frank as much.  It was VERY obvious Frank made a concerted effort to incorporate Taylor into the gameplan after losing to the Titans and I'd bet my car that was largely thanks to Ballard, especially after seeing how stubborn he's been to acknowledge his playcalling in his past 2 pressers.   hell Frank all but admitted he was afraid of trying to run at the Bucs base defense.  Why?  He had no problem calling 32 runs against Buffalo.  It's mind-blowing
