its obvious Dallas is fine at the RB situation and didn't need him so id definitely go after him if i were GM cough cough...

Well.... he wouldn’t cost us a 1st round pick... so there’s that.

 

But if he just plain stinks as a RB or has a lousy attitude or work ethic, then forget it.

Remember, adding anyone else to the roster requires somebody getting cut. That somebody is the 50th best player on the team. (Long snapper, Kicker and punter do not count). The top 48 already know the new system, and the coaches invested all summer in coaching them up.  Waiver wire guys now would be way behind in knowing system/playbook.  Even if professional scouts go to Reich and Ballard with glowing scouting reports and game tape showing X player on waivers is probably better than Y player on the roster now at this stage of the game, getting them to buy in and make the change is exceptionally difficult right now.  Some huge  release has to happen , and Dorsey and Gettleman both have to miss it or feel it isn't an upgrade for them.

 

I doubt we add anybody else until season begins and we IR a player or two opening a spot(s).

Unless it is a vested vet and they don't have to go through waivers.  We could upgrade our OL by signing Austin Pasztor.  He could play RT and we could cut Webb or Clark.  I would make that move ASAP before another team signs him.
