He very well may be but he is creating some good tape for himself.  Might be able to catch on somewhere else if it doesn't happen for him here.

Agreed with the Lewis news he might find a spot here

I would have rather seen what Tion Green could do than this Oliver guy.

Why does this Oliver keep getting snaps? He is horrible.

Michael was undergoing concussion protocol

Basham down

Nice rush there by him.

Hopefully he is all good.

I think our pass rush might surprise some people this year once the season gets going.

Hilton

Grant

Rogers

Fountain

Pascal

Ishmael

I could live with that 6.

Pascal and Fountain have looked solid tonight. Ishmael just looks like a player out there.

He isn't going to be on the team, they dont want to risk another injury.

I keep only 5 WRs but 4 TEs in my mock draft

I need to do one, I've been waiting till after this game. Hopefully we can get Ishmael to the PS. Should be able to I think?

Has anyone seen Pickens out there?

Wait a minute...what about K.J. Brent?   He hasn't been placed on IR from what I understand.  If healthy he could slide in ahead of Fountain.

Also I'd give the 2 spot to Rogers over Grant.

Definitely could.

Saturday 4pm will be sweet. Ready for that, then about 5-6 waiver claims.

Yeah I know, I almost even said that in my post.(that maybe possibly before "4")

Probably even a player/player trade or 2.

I would have liked to see more from Grant.  I would be feeling alot more comfortable.

I only know what we have with Ty and Rogers.  That concerns me.  But i am optimistic.

Colts tell us that defensive end Tarell Basham has a knee injury and his return to the game is questionable.

TB out

Not to surprised by that. Don't think there would be any reason to bring him back this game, regardless of severity of injury.

Looked like he banged it at the end of that play.

Clark, Vujnovich, and Bond end 2017 starting on the OL, and today they play the 3rd quarter of the final preseason game.  Goes to show just how bad our OL had gotten last year after all the injuries and thin veneer of talent to begin with.

Props to Oliver for getting into the end zone and continuing to eat up snaps to keep the rest of our guys fresh for next week.

Was that playcalling or is Oliver trying to find a way to stick around?

Well he did owe us that seeing how his fumble essentially gave the Bengals a TD when he came into the game.  He is even now.

    • Yes, but my point is the game was never in Brisett's hands to win the game. The run game and defense carried him, but unfortunately we are not the 49ers to be win consistently like that.
    • Aiyuk will likely go somewhere between 2nd and 4th based on the mocks I've seen. Not sure I would use that kind of draft pick on someone to be just a returner and gunner. I think he's got high upside, so would expect most teams to look at him as a WR2 or 3 at slot, or perhaps even a 1 at Z. If he improves vs the press and gets better at attacking the ball, he could be really really good. As a fan of Herm, I watched a decent amount of ASU, and the kid can play (if used properly)   At returner, I'm very happy with how Hines did at PR. Also liked what I saw from Dulin at KR (only a few opportunities). Pascal also had pretty good numbers at KR. Keep in mind we ended up #1 in the NFL in PR AVG, and #13 in KR AVG, so not really a huge need. The only thing I want to see change a bit is the willingness to return (instead of touch back or fair catch), and that's likely coaching, not player. I'm always happy to improve if we have someone on the roster that's better though, just not sure I'd draft a guy in an attempt to improve returns.
    • As far as a father goes from what I have seen he loved his daughters so he was an excellent loving father. That adds to his legacy. On my latest top 10 greatest players list he made it as I had: 1. Michael Jordan 2. Magic Johnson 3. Kareem Abdul-Jabbar 4. LeBron James 5. Wilt Chamberlain 6. Larry Bird 7. Shaq O'Neal 8. Kobe Bryant - I have him here, see below is to why 9. Bill Russell 10. Tim Duncan   -Kobe = 5 Championships in total, a League MVP in 2008 and really should have 2 as he got ripped off in 2006 when he didn't win it averaging 35.6 a game. He also won 2 Finals MVP's and won 2 Championships without Shaq in 2009 and 2010. His 2nd best player was Pau Gasol when he won the 2 without Shaq. Kobe was a global icon and loved around the world. When he passed away it was like Michael Jackson or Elvis passing away media wise. It has been insane today on the news, that is all anyone is talking about.
    • It doesn’t matter how many yards you throw for. It matters if your getting a few big plays during the game.  Before injury he was hitting open guys and making a few big passing plays. After injury not so much.    He probably has a little bit of a higher ceiling just with healthy and upgraded weapons. But it isn’t high enough to get us where we need to be.
    • Global Icon regardless of sport. Mamba mentality
