I really want to like Hines.  Great kid, great personality.   But has he shown any sign of being a pro RB?   I just hope they’re saving his featured sets for the reg season.

I just dont get what they see in Grant. Either way,  our WRs are really poor after T.Y. and Rogers.

2 drafts and 2 free agency classes, Ballard has completely failed to improve the end product of this team.

What team are you looking at. This team has a ton more talent than what we had 2 years ago

You shouldn’t be. Daniels has outplayed him.

You expected him to fix 5 years of bad drafting by Grigson in only 2 years? That’s being too demanding.

The one that is ridiculously lacking in talent at linebacker, cornerback, wide reciever and running back.

Then the 2 groups that were supposedly addressed this offseason, the offensive and defensive lines.....still look terrible.

Face it....this is a poor team.

It’s really mind blowing that nfl owners don’t look through Forums to find their next GM. So many people on here could obviously do Ballard’s job better than him. Probably would be contending for a super bowl this year.

Just getting rid of Green is a big improvement.......

Having a putz around doesnt help those around him

AND.......

I would be HUGELY suprised if we dont have 2-3 final cut guys from other teams on this rostor, day 1

At least 3 more guys will/should be gone

Whoa, that's Blasphemy around here. Lol

But yes, we have very little talent at WR, RB, LB, and lack pass rushers.

I would respectfully disagree, at least somewhat

I would say the starters are a little above average..... when our star QB is under center, 2 safeties, K, and LT are healthy and in the game

Strength at QB, TE, Safety

I would say our depth at most positions is a disaster

:funny:     rotflmao

Our D-line maybe our best depth IMO.  We get pressure on the QB's constantly during the preseason and we haven't even schemed any.  Run stopping is a question mark.  But I think most of that is our lack of talent at LB (besides Leonard).

Our tackles have looked awful, But what do you expect from guys whom either have not been good previously, or moved from guard to try their hand at it while the 'starter's' recuperate?  We need better back-up Tackles is all. The O-line will end up being fine. (once Clark is gone and Ballard makes another trade for a different back-up tackle.)

I think what is concerning is that we have unproven talent. There is so much potential talent. We just dont know yet what a lot of these guys can do or become. Also when over half of your position groups have sub par percieved or known talent, we could be in for a long season.

We need better starting tackles. We dont even know how good AC will be after missing this much time.

Oh, Clark and Howard aren't starter's...they are jokes...agreed.  Both need cut now.  We need the tackle situation resolved though...agreed there also.

If you would have stated this truth more matter of fact, rather than a tone that takes a shot at the golden boy, it would have gotten more positive play than it did.

RB, WR, OL, and CB don't have much.

Gregg Doyel agrees with you in his latest piece today.

Who would you have drafted/brought in via FA?

My biggest beefs with Ballard to date are..

1) the defensive scheme change and the odd personnel decisions that accompanied it (namely hankins)

2) thinking certified *hole Josh McDaniels was a good choice for this teams HC / culture

3) how he handled the 2018 draft, 2nd round in particular.  We could be talking about one of the most exciting young defenses in the league had he drafted guys like Harold Landry, Josh Jackson, Maurice Hurst, etc.  Granted, Leonard looks great so far, but man what coulda been a home run draft feels kinda "meh".

I still think we are in pretty good hands here with Ballard, but blind praise seems to be the only acceptable form of discourse on this forum and I dont know why.

I nominate this for Post of the year :sarcasm:. So when we go 9-7 or 10-6 and make the Playoffs I guess I can look back and laugh anyway . Then again Andrew Luck has no blood flow in his arm, will not play another down, we shouldve traded him to the Browns for their picks and Drafted either Mayfield or Allen so many said :spit:

I totally agree and it's a big concern for this team. I'm not even sure yet that Rogers is that good.

Well, let's let the season play out before we start assuming these players he didn't draft will have better careers than the ones he did. I mean these haven't played a down yet in a regular season game so stop the assumptions.

Petition to have IndyStar fire Doyel and find someone who actually seems to like the Colts. He is the most negative team writer in the league and it’s not even close, and that’s including guys writing for teams other than the ones they are fans of......

Nobody on here could do a better job.  Too bad that is not even slightly relevant in discussing that Chris Ballard has done a poor job in the 2 offseasons he's been in charge of the Indianapolis Colts' roster.

1 season. This second season hasn’t played out yet. And you’re obviously entitled to your own opinion, even if it is a little misguided.
