What about as an edge rusher? Nothing? Has he gotten close? Basham

Not much. Ridgeway and Simon the only real standouts up front. Autry been solid too.

I hate to ask for a Basham report. No news right?

Krunk mentions Basham & next thing you know a blocked punt unfolds  followed by a TD.

You've got pull brother. I'm impressed. Darn, you're good.

Darius Leonard has a pretty good stat sheet.  How did he play?  I missed the first half.

Looked pretty damned good.  He’s quick to react and closes fast.

I think it will be video review in New York in real time... especially if there is a disqualification.

We'll see.

The NFL also needs to get with the NFL and every state HS Governing body to create blanket rules on helmet hits

Yes

I am not mad about the rule it is the enforcement that I see as problematic

Yeah, there will defnitely be a learning curve.  What I would like to see this year, at least, is a 5 and 15 yard penalties.  During the Colts first preseason game the receiver jumped and stretched the catch the ball, a Colts player that jumped and stretch to knock the ball out, his helmet hit the stomach of the receiver and they threw the flag, even though the player did not lower his helmet at all.  Stuff like that needs to be cleaned up..

That is why I brought up the way LL and other governing bodies enact rules progressively

Didn’t take him long to flash. He hasn’t been here long but he’s already made plays in camp.

A former Dallas TE named Jason Witten just said "Luck has his best football in front of him." Nice.

How do I reconcile my Cowboys hatred with such a nice complement about Andrew? Twilight Zone Territory man. LOL!

Between Ridgeway, Autry, and maybe Tyuan Lewis we should be pretty decent with interior pocket push on passing downs.

Has ESPN lost so many subscribers that they can't afford to show replays?

Get use to it

NBC, CBS, and Fox will do the same thing

Not trying to show up Officials

I can't really comment with any authority on this game since I only saw about the last 9 minutes of the 4th Qtr. tonight. However, I do agree with CJN & PT. The lack of replay usage tonight was very bizarre. I've seen more replays in golf & tennis than what ESPN displayed tonight. With lucrative broadcast deals, networks shouldn't be pinching pennies man.

Maybe it's just a Preseason issue. I hope so. Fans finally grow accustom to seeing a controversial call slowed down with regularity now & for some reason, they decide forget the replay & get the game over faster instead? Cut down on commercial interruptions not penalty oversight remedies please.

    • The 49ers are much more talented than the Packers were. Rogers had a pretty good game but he couldn't help the defense stop the run. The running stats for the 49ers is off the hook.
    • I won't respond the the other nonsense posted in this post because it's off-topic, but the bolded is complete and utter horse manure... He has plenty of tape of him going through 2-3 read progressions, moving safeties, holding them with his eyes while waiting for routes to develop, etc. You've clearly not watched much or any of him.
    • I’m looking forward to the XFL.  Hoping it lasts longer than the AAF did.  The AAF had all their teams pretty much in the south and none in the Midwest or Northeast.  Hopefully, the locations of the XFL teams will benefit the league.  Every XFL game is televised nationally, also, so it everyone should be able to at least watch the team they wish to follow each week.  Starts the weekend following the Super Bowl!
    • One of the wisest questions I have seen on here ever!  I totally agree.  Why would you think an older Brady would be any better behind a bad o-line?
    • The new money they get for the deal will effect the cap. As far as Hilton and funchess goes, we need both because we lack experience at that position. Funchess's injury was unfortunate, but he played well vs the chargers and we need a big body target. Hilton was putting up really good numbers before he got hurt and he's been critical to the team's success. With all the extension and players like Mack, Nelson, and Leonard that will soon get big contracts, we can't go hard in FAs. I do think Brockers fills a big void to help not only our run defense, but also keep our LBers clean. Mcdonald is sure handed and a possession target that we need along with a very good blocker.
