Has he been bad running the ball or just on the punt returns?

3 carries for 7 yards...

He has not looked good in anything he has done tonight.

Based on what I have seen tonight, I like Wilkins more. My opinion could change over the next month or so.

Hines had room to run on that last punt return and he did nothing with it....

Not impressing me much.

Mostly on punt returns. He has a few carries tonight but hasn’t done much there either.

Kaaya forgot how to take the snap from center.

Put his butt in the shotgun or something.

Well that didn't work either.

That QB we have in now may be worse than Painter LOL

Kaaya was a good college quarterback.

I have no idea what he is doing out there now.

Who’s in at center?

I think it WAS Mark Glowinski.

Maybe Haeg now.

I think Wilkins is a keeper.

Let's see what he does on short yardage here....

Be nice to see if Wilkins can get this.

I am ready to make a BOLD prediction....

Wilkins will make the 53 and barring injury, he will be on this team for quite a while. :)

If Painter can take a knee we win. 19-17 Colts. Very enjoyable, Luck looked Great and healthy, no dumb Penalties for the most part, we had some Sacks too.

Wilkins might be coming for Mack’s spot.

At the very least, Turbin should be worried.

He picked the wrong year to get suspended.

I’ll admit, I really wanted McDaniels. I’m so glad we didn’t get him. Frank is perfect for what we needed.  CB gotta get an A+ on this hire.  The enthusiasm is genuine. We saw how far chemistry could take you with the Pacers. We’re gonna surprise people this year. If we can get Hooker to “arrive” and Leonard to be solid we're gonna have a good year.

Only glaring things I seen that were Bad were Hines on SP Teams but it's only 1 game and we need AC back at LT, our O.Line isn't as good without him. Many Positives = Luck looked Great and Healthy, Vinny is Vinny, we showed some signs of having a Pass Rush, we really didn't have any silly Penalties, and Wilkins looked tough.

Yeah. I would add the Thomas penalty and the bad snaps... BUT overall there were some very positive signs.

Thing is Turbin is the best at pass pro. If one of these young guys can prove to be efficient at that then Turbin will be dropped. If not, I think we keep him. You see who they had out there with Luck on passing situations. They weren’t gone risk Luck in game one with some rookie in protection.

Someone will have to for the first 4 weeks.

Someone has to emerge in preseason. I think Wilkins has the best chance.

Yeah the Thomas Penalty was Bad but that was really the only one we had. We almost played a clean game until Painter Jr fumbled at the end but that was also the Center's fault. Another Positive was our SP Teams Coverage on Punts. That was great all night.

I think the most glaring thing on our offense is protecting the ball. 6 fumbles. SIX! Luckily we only lost 1, but we won’t always be that lucky if we keep putting the ball on the ground.

    • While some of those folks own up to it later, it is amazing how quiet some of them get.
    • A 5th round pick and a ham sandwich.  With extra mayo.
    • I don't think he ever said that.  I think he made some general threat to the woman that made reference to the kid, and then people quickly ran with that to interpret it as him saying that he would do to her what he did to the kid, thereby indirectly implying he broke the kids arm.  At least it seemed like there could be enough smoke generated from this tape to justify kicking him out of the league to send the all-important proper social message.  I think now the feeling is that the interpretation of what he was talking about is flawed.   It sounds like this has come down to where he simply threatened her during an argument.  Not enough smoke to suspend him, IMO.
    • I don't want to use resources on another linebacker, so in order for me to pull the trigger, it would have to be a huge steal. I'd do a 2nd rounder
    • You're acting as if we don't know anything about Deon Cain. The higher ceiling is based on the fact that he's a second round talent that dropped due to personality concerns, and the fact that he was doing so well in camp. Obviously I'm not saying they don't like Fountain, but before the preseason the Colts were calling him "the steal of the draft". Turns out we did have the steal of the draft, but that's besides the point    The ACL tear isn't being underestimated, the thing is that there's a difference when you tear your ACL in August vs October or November. Also, what has Fountain done to prove more than Cain? He was on the practice squad, and he had that one divisional game drop. Other than that I don't see why you think Fountain is more proven or whatever. And it is simply absurd to have him over Pascal and Chester. The problem is that we know what they are: not very good. When deciding who to keep on the roster, the question is not "have these guys contributed before?" The question is "will these guys contribute?" And the answer is, from what I've seen and heard, Deon Cain is talented and is at least worth keeping more than Pascal and Chester.
